Tour the Hollywood Crib
You’ve probably heard Design Star is headed to Hollywood this year, but have you seen the incredible house they’ll be staying in? We’ve got a sneak peek for you!

The estate, which is called Chatsworth, was designed by William Pereira and Charles Luckman, whose other notable designs are the Transamerica building in San Francisco and the Kennedy Center.

Chatsworth has a pure Hollywood history. It was originally completed in 1949 for Dora Stillman, heiress to Chase Manhattan Bank and married to Hollywood playwright, Jody Hutchinson.

Lucille Ball and Frank Sinatra have both called Chatsworth home, Judy Garland was married there and it was also the site of Marilyn Monroe’s last photo shoot.

You may also recognize the estate from films, such as Swordfish, Dream Girls and Bewitched. It has also be featured on television shows, CSI, Mad Men, Six Feet Under and the Barbara Walters Academy Awards Special.
Tune in this Sunday at 10/9c for the premiere of Design Star to see the rest of the house and of course, who goes home first!

How Cool… when you stare at the layers of blueness on the main wall it's like your looking down a hallway… an illusion by paint. Really different I like it.
The wall reminds me of Josef Albers' work.
Claryvette–I'd love to be on there with you!
But, will they be able to enjoy this place?!
