WHERE’S CLIVE?????? He’s half the reason I watched the show, giving it a weekly healthy dollop of international humor and class. Now the judges are hosting?? Is that a budget or bonehead decision? That’s like Top Chef without Tom Colicchio and Padma! I think the show just jumped the shark on this one. BRING BACK CLIVE OR FADE INTO DESIGN OBLIVION!!
I want Clive too!!! And what is up with Candice? She's really likable on her show but she's coming across a little condescending on this show. Maybe it's a Canadian thing?!!?? She's making me not want to watch.
I don't like Candice on her show. I hated how she used to talk to her help on the show. (forgot his name). She is a good designer but is full of it IMHO.
I also want Clive back. Where is he.
isn't "HGTV" also about "Garden"? where are the outdoor shows, the sewing shows, the craft things?
I totally agree with Bob. My first thought was the same, where is Clive? He was the best part of the show in my opinion. Please bring him back.
I do not like Nina. She threw Courtland under the bus. If I watch this season, I know I will not ever warm up to her. As far as Clive is concerned, I am glad he is gone. He has always been a bit irritating.
I agree. I think Nina cheated and was so sorry she won tonight. I am sure glad that they did not take off the guy she put under the bus.
And I did like Julie better than others. Was surprised.
Clive, Clive, Clive!! He brought the drama to the show. It's just not the same without him. I so hope they bring him back.
I hate the new concept of the show.. I want Clive back saying.. "I'm sorry your show has been cancelled." And what's this with showing the designers packing and walking out with their suitcases. What is this? America's Next Top Model?? I HATED THIS FIRST EPISODE!! It better get better than that!!!! Go back to they way it was..
with a touch of "project Runway"!
And a bit of The Apprentice. (which is not a good thing)
I am also disappointed that Clive isn't on the show but I do love Candace and Vern. I also miss the crazy designers – the vacuum cleaner and telephone book designers were the best television.
I would have changed 3 things about this season. 1. Clive!!!!! You can't get rid of him! 2. I think they chose the wrong person to go. Sorry Emily but… and 3. I liked it better when they started with designing their own house instead of the white rooms. Ihose should come later
I see David Bromstadt is screwing up his show, too. Miss all the assistants that we came to know. I know artists need to 'spead their wings' but, as much as I love David, I'm not feeling this new adventure.
Yes, I miss Ian, Danielle and Clare. I didn't really like David's new Miami show that much, and I love David and Color Splash.
I agree with you…His assistants were good, especially the woman that would do all the painting…She would have had that focal wall done right the first time…What exactly are those other two women's duties anyways?
Nina has talent…but she is ruthless. She threw Courtland under the bus by mis informing him on purpose of what her design style was. If she won the show…i wouldn't watch her…her true self came through loud and clear…and she is not a Design Star for Me. Viciousness might get u a win, but not a fan base. Tera Hampton and Michael were my favs….and Courtland gets my sympathy vote because he deserves it! Sorry Nina…
You said it, you would not be able to trust her in your house if she is such a liar! HGTV is the last refuge from mean reality shows. Don't change that….bye bye Nina!
I personally thought they should not have had the person who designed the room there…You would have gotten a "real" response without the intimidation to try and be nice…Hopefully he gets his turn to get back at her…Her room was NOT the best, regardless of what those three say…I felt like I had stepped into someones backyard, themed party with a bed placed in the middle…Care for a drink with a cute paper umbrella?…I hope this show gets better or else I won't be staying up to watch the stupidity.
