Whatever happened to Season 3 winner Jennifer. I only saw one or two of her shows. I liked Season 5 winner
Emily's new show. Give her a chance. It was a new approach to a show and as time goes by she will start to build a larger fan base.
I too, like Emily's concept, and I wish her well. I agree with you, where is Jennifer? One other past contestant has stuck out in my mind, and that is "Sparkle Josh". He has a memorable personality and I wish I could have seen more of him during DS, and wouldn't mind seeing him again. I think he was Season 3 as well.
I was also wondering about Jennifer. I really liked her, but I also liked Matt because I lived in Colorado at the time.
Dan! I’m so excited you won the online show. I would, of course, have preferred that you won the whole thing. If you want to come visit home and design a bit while you’re here, you are more than welcome to make over my little Springdale house. I didn’t cut your hair, go to high school with you, or haunt your favorite coffee shop, but I’m still a huge fan of yours. I can’t wait to see your online show.
Wasn't it Courtland who won the online show? I am so confused. Maybe they do need to take a break from Design Star for awhile, since they have so many people who won shows who don't even have them on the air. Also, whatever happened to Clive Pearce?
I really didn't like the way they did Design Star this year. WAYYY too many "group" projects. I also miss being able to vote on the contestants. The winners since the start have been really good. I still love David Bronstad, and miss Kim Myles, but I think they need to get back to what they did in the first place, more individual challanges and more designs for real people, not Trump Tower. I really like Dan, and I like his design concept as stated in his video. I really miss the "how to do that" approach that was the hallmark of HGTV. Not everyone has the money to throw into a project, so learning how to recreate a certain item at home is valuable. Dan, please give us lots of creative alternatives, interesting builds and oodles of ideas. I can't wait to see how this all works out for you.
Dan,
Northwest Arkansas is so proud of you! Congratulations!
First Congrats on being the FAVE. My son is currently a student at UARK and he just loves it. People often ask why he picked Arkansas as we live in VA. We now say WHY NOT. It is a great state and an OUTSTANDING COLLEGE. My suggestion on what to do with your online show, might be how to transform an 60's style fire place that is HUGE brick for the size of the room (12×17). Fire place is 6' tall by 4.8' wide with an 8" raised hearth. It is ugly and dominates the room. Would be nice to show folks how to update their fireplaces into the 21st century for a do it yourself project, that won't burn down when you light your first fire after the redesign. Tks, and go razorbacks!
Hey Dan! So happy you. We still have people call us at Compass Imaging asking about you. I enjoyed working with you. You are truly a genuine person with a good heart and I know you have so much talent to show the world. Keep up the good work! We are watching you!
Denise
I was very impressed with Emily Henderson''s design insight and expertise. Emily may appear as a Valley girl image but her ability to coordinate a room design offers much more than what her image offers. Emily exudes a natural ability to select, arrange, and coordinate a room layout. She builds a room with layers of not just furniture but with history and purpose. Even though she experiments with different renditions of how to decorate, I think she works hard to offer an aesthestically pleasing and balanced room design that she is able to articulate in a all-American style, offering a well-balanced effort to coordinate space and objects harmoniously.
Congradulations on the new online show. I liked you on Design Star, and I think you should have won. I would like to see you do a project on making a home office in a small space. I am a scrapbooker, genealogist, and historian. I have tried to set up a spot to work in my dining room, (we eat in front of the tv), but doesn't seem quite functional yet. I am trying to use older pieces of furniture I have, and use my dining table as a computer desk. HELP
