  1. First challenge Season 5, Emily and Michael work together. Final Challenge Season 5 Emily and Michael compete to become the next DS. Season 6, first challenge Kellie and Karl are a team. Final Challenge Season 6–I'm thinking Kellie against Karl. Just a hunch.

  2. The team challenges are idiotic. Let the contestants work alone on individual projects, then we will see who has talent. There are clearly people who can't do anything by themselves. What could Cathy do alone? Shop? And if she treats any hired help, as she has the other contestants, the crew would quit.

Obviously, her previous TV "design" experience, was being the on-the-air talking head and someone else did all the designing. Just as she read the news on TV, that someone else wrote for her, when she was a news anchormannequin. And lucky for her there are teleprompters!

    • Cathy can't seem to work with anyone. She does not have a very good personality and seems to rub everyone the wrong way. She needs to go.

  4. I enjoy this program a lot,it teaches these designer that not all of them are perfect. When they work together with others, they need to cooperate with each other instead of thinking they are the only one doing the project. In real life, even if you are the boss, you need ideas of your coworkers to improve your designs. I am a boss of a large corporation and without my assistants,I am not complete, their ideas, even if they are silly, let me think over our projects and improve it.So,get it together and work for the benefit of the customer-remember,is not going to be your space but theirs to live in and they have to love it,even if their ideas are idiotic to you.You all are winners and your ideas are awsome, good luck!

  5. I am disappointed in Leslie's design contributions. Yes, she is a fantastic artist. But, HGTV has enough already. Can she design? We know Cathy cannot. And, the others have proven themselves—whether you appreciated their style or not. They have all done more than Cathy.

  6. I had stopped watching Design Star because It was like watching a bad reality TV show. Contestants arguring and bickering and pretty bad makeovers. I have only rekindeled my affair with Design Star this year because of David and Vern… they are my 2 favorite designers. Because of them, the Judges panel is better this year. I actually can't even remember the names of any of the winners after Kim Miles. Sad …….. The show has been a real let down. UNTIL….. Kellie showed up this year. She is refreshing and talented and has the same great personablity that David Bromstad has. I am pulling for her. Otherwise, this will be the last season I waste any more effort on the show. Cathy is an obnoxious snot that needs to be sent home. I don't care how much talent as a decorator you think you may or may not have …. if people can't stan't stand you, they are NOT going to watch your show. I am willing to give Design Star another chance, but CATHY HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!!

  7. Doug apparently should've been given the rules of collaboration first. One, don't shove your ideas down someone's throat, in this case, Mark. Two, if the other designer doesn't like your idea, then can it and come up with an idea you both can agree on. It just drove me nuts that Doug was unwilling to compromise and he's gone home because of it. And on another note, don't choose unique and bold colors unless the homeowner has specifically chosen that color. Bad idea to go choosing crazy colors without the homeowner's permission. Boy, Genevieve sure wasn't sweet in her comments about it being "disgusting." I thought the judges were too hard on Mark though. As if they've never been in a situation where another designer was being overbearing. When someone insists on getting their way, it's not like there's much you can do about it. I think they owe Mark an apology.

  8. Does anyone else find it ironic that Kim Myles and Emily's shows are so bad and the best new show on HGTV had Todd Davis as the host?

  9. PLEASEEEEEE Enough with the team challenges already……….let's see what the individual designers can do. I'm not interested in how they get along with each other. Honestly, you don't see David B with a second "host". ENOUGH!

  10. When are the judges going to see that Cathy is just overbearing and argues with all of the other designers every time. Either they play her way ore she pouts.
