  1. I was really looking forward to this B&B redesign episode — I hope it is not ruined by petty squabbles!

  2. Im not keen on Cathy. Incredibly un-professional and very abrasive personality. And may I say it – LAZY. She wants to design but have everyone else do the work or at least that is what I perceive happening. Why not start out with a design that you all collab on. How hard could that possibly be – it is called TEAM work. I am rather disappointed this time around with most of them. I do have to admit that there are a couple of the guys that I am finding their designs interesting. Cathy should be the one to go next. I know I would never watch a program she hosted.

  3. Cathy is sooo much fun to watch. I love watching Cathy, because this brings me back to Dennis the Menace where Cathy bothers Dennis and Dennis tries to get away! So far Cathy has been matched up with the dudes! Keep it coming! Barrel of laughs!

    • There is nothing funny about Cathy…..unless you love to see other people being bullied. Dennis the Menace was cute and funny, and always had a good ending……..Cathy feels she is better than the rest of the group.( which she isn't as good ,.,,.,,maybe that is why she is so hateful) . Nope, she needs to go, and it makes you wonder why they have kept her. She has proved she is not a designer……so I am really disappointed in the judges. I am beginning to lose faith in them.

  4. fI can only hope that Cathy gets sent home soon. She is not really popular as her buddies put it on their website to vote for her daily. So far, I have seen no design from her. She picks out furniture and bosses other people around. Hello! I can do that yet I would not consider myself a designer. And, as far as her world travels go—I have been to 11 countries and three continents. She does not know design half as well as she thinks she does. If she calls what she imitates as design, well—she did not travel to the same Spain or Italy that I did. Can't wait for her to get eliminated.

  5. I would love to see Cathy sent home. She does not have what it takes to be a Design Star, she does not work well with others and she has a very condescending attitude.

    • Ditto. I totally agree. Cathy acts like she is a Deva. She wants it her way only and seems to do what she can to eliminate the voice of her partners. I, too, hope that she is sent home soon.

  6. There is too much designing in teams. I guess HGTV likes the reality tv aspect of it but it makes for lousy designs.

  7. I agree about the "team designs"- only only ONE is going to win, and they aren't going to be working together (however, Kelly, Leslie, and Kevin done a real nice job last week, I thought) to me for Kevin to work that easily with them, and then tomorrow get stuck with Cathy and see how bad this is apparently going to be… her partners since the first week has had this problem with her, Leslie the first week, then Karl & I believe Bret this past week. She acted like she had an attitude from since the introduction, and I know a little sassiness is entertaining, but when the sassiness interferes with your design, that's when it's time to go, she doesn't have her very own show, and she doesn't have her own crew, so for her to think the other contestants are going to demolish a room while she goes out and shop was really rude, and I was so glad they made her lazy butt paint! lol…

  8. I also think Meg and Tyler's room was very nice last week too. I felt so bad for Mark though, Doug was so heck bent on his "organ meat wall color" that it didn't matter what filled the room, even though we didn't see it, I like to think there was an "I told you so" exchanged backstage after Doug was eliminated, I hope he watched that show back and seen how hard he seemed to be to work with! I would have really liked to have seen Cathy and Doug work together before he was eliminated, that would have been two Diva's in a pod!!… :)
really looking forward to tonight's show, I wander who's the designer that's getting all the wow's on the previews??? sure hope it's one of my favs!! :)

  9. I would like to see more individuality as well for the designers, but they also must be team players!!! Cathy is a one woman show!!! NOT!!!!!!!!! Also, I cannot STAND the attitudes of Vern and Genevieve. They are so smug and think too much of themselves. They are designers, so what. New and upcoming designers are fun to see and express their talents. Everyone has to start somewhere. I am so upset with Vern and Genevieve, I cannot even watch their shows anymore. Anyone else agree???????

  10. I think the design as a team concept is way over done.Yes they would have to design in a team environment when they got their own show, but it's not the same since they would be the 'boss' in regard to making the final design decisions. To expect them to create their best design as a team is not reasonable unless they all happen to have the same vision. Lets be honest, can you see Genevieve Gorder working well with others? She can't even respect the homeowners preferences. If she has a new product she wants to use or wants a particular color she simply strong arms them under the guise of 'expanding their vision.' Her staff just yes's her to death and it shows. HGTV should stop being so cheap and let these designers be creative and show their individual, distinctive creativity.
