Cathy does not work well with others. She is bossy and always wants to just do the shopping well the guys do all the hard work. Get RID of her. If she cant work with others then how will she work with clients? Kevin got a bad rap this week since he was stuck working with her. Dont punish anyone else this way, just give her the boot!!!
you are right…get rid of Cathy, cannot stand her personality, she cannot work with anyone
I want to know why even have a contest. Now we have the horrible Dallas woman who LOST, has her own show, another guy, WHO ALSO LOST, has his own. So why bother, watching, voting or discussing. HGTV has lost all of it's appeal and integrity.
I wished her talent was as big as her eyes! lol
Cathy is nothing but a world traveler, she certainly is not a good designer and her personality is worse than her design ability. I can't wait for her to be kicked off.
I have an idea for an episode: Have the designers each decorate something anonymously, show the room or area, let the judges express their opinions, let the viewers at home form their opinions. At the end of the show reveal each room/area's designer. Kinda like The Voice. That would really show who has the talent.
I agree that Cathy is difficult; she obviously has to be the boss and everyone else has to do as she says. That is not how this program goes. It is obvious that, however talented she is as a designer, she is ridged and unpopular. I certainly wouldn't hire her as my designer as she would undoubtedly refuse to listen to me as a client and do exactly as she pleases.
All Cathy can do is shop. She should be a professional shopper, not a designer. She never wants to work. She is so irritating. I hope she's gone soon. The other designers incorporate shopping as part of the design process and that's how you can tell the difference in a true designer.
I used to like this show until masculinity was completely erased! Now it's just another gay competition.
This show is ridiculous! Noone gets along with anyone else. They're all prima donnas & cannot work with others. Why expect them to? David Bromstad has run out of steam. Emily should never have been given a show–'this is nice & now it's nicer'-all said in her 'precocious' little girl way. These people are all amateurs who can prpbably do well in their home town. In no way can they aspire to Candice Olson, Vern Yip, etc.And now you give us the G.s, Robert & Cortney! Talent? More like spoiled children! starma451
Clicking on SHOP on the DS tool bar above, I found that the throw pillow that Mark has his arm on in the above picture, cost $104.00? A real designer wasted that kind of money on a throw pillow? And speaking of wasting money, Cathy's "bed in a bag" "design" cost $169.00! Really Cathy, you could get a "bed in a bag" deal in any discount store for a fraction of that cost, and it will be as boring, lifeless and totally lacking in design, same as yours was! Some people, even so called "designers," think blowing a lot of money says good design. No it doesn't.
How come one of the Design Star contestants already has a show? (On tonight after the show) She shouldn't be in a contest for people that want their own show – just asking.
Donna's garish "designs," truly deserved getting her kicked off DS. DONNA DOES DALLAS sounds like the kind of show you would watch, with a barf bag close by.
