Despite the fact that her wedding was featured in “three national magazines,” Cathy’s drab tablescapes and un-romantic sweetheart table made the judges say “We will not be producing your show.” But she’s not going without a fight! See what she has to say about going home.

Cathy is so disconnected from reality! Cathy, READ THESE COMMENTS–not everyone in the world can be wrong. You need some help girl beyond your design skills! When someone is REALLY good at what they do, they don't have to keep on & on & on ad nauseum telling everyone how good they are. You were so rude, condescending and arrogant to everyone, you really need to apologive for making their lives HELL. I'm glad they are not producing your show because if they did, I would NOT BE WATCHING!
Why don't they remove designers who have been voted off from the Fan Vote site?
I ALWAYS WATCH THIS SHOW..BUT, CATHY WAS THE WORSE CONTESTANT THAT WAS EVER ON HGTV..WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU FIND HER….I THINK THAT DAVID IS THE BEST THAT,S EVER WON ON THIS SHOW…HE IS SOOOOOO NICE AND FUN! FUN! FUN! …….I MUST SAY THAT I DON,T THINK, AS A WHOLE, ANY OF THE CONTESTANTS ARE THAT GOOD THIS YEAR….NOT YOUR BEST !!! AND…..MOST OF THEM ARE NOT LISTENING TO DAVID,S ADVICE OR THE PANEL…I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ANY OF THEM WOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD TV SHOW….SORRY
I agree with what I've read. I was wondering about the eyes — so distracting! She seemed to be the only one that wasn't willing to get along with others.
Yes! Cathy's eyes were very distracting. But I could have put up with them if she was a nice person, someone who believed in teamwork. But, no, she spent all her time bragging and bossing. She should have been gone much earlier.
It is nice to see real talent but unfortunately we could not recognize talent in Cathy's designs. Her over the top self esteem got in the way of any talent which she might have. I do believe that she might have a better chance in a magazine article. We wouldn't have to witness her bragging if the editor had some control!
I really wanted to like her but she kept shooting herself in the foot. Her continual excuses, fault finding of others, bossing others around, and unfounded bragging were downright obnoxious. If I had to stomach one more show with this vain and self deceived woman, I would have turned the show off for good.

I have never seen EVERYONE so happy to see someone leave….as when Cathy Hobbs went home.
This person had the biggest EGO I have ever witnessed….it made people just sick.
When she came back today for the finale of Design Star….not one single person….including the judges even smiled at her. EVERYONE could see how rude she was.
If she wants to continue the EGO…she needs to make a trip to the dentist and get her mouth fixed…OR ELSE KEEP IT SHUT. Dentists can help people like Cathy…..her smile is just hideous !!!!!
What took the judges so long? Cathy is arrogant, does not assume responsibility for her actions or decisions. Who was she talking to? We've been watching and saw how she treated her fellow cast mates! Talk about not being able to see past your nose! So glad she was voted off!
cathy had an ego problem….plus, she was mean and nasty….i never am glad to see someone "off'd", but, when it came time for her to go, i breathed a sigh of relief!! she was just a bully….sorry girl…you did it to yourself!!
OMG!!! I was sooooo glad when Cathy was kicked off the show. She was so arrogant and self-centered that she couldnt work sucessfully with any of the other designers. I wanted her to be kicked off from day one. I could not understand why she reamined on the show for so long. She was the one person to prove that there is actually an "I" in team…or at least she thinks so. LOL
I looked at her website to see if I could see picture of her grand wedding that was featured in three national magazines and I didnt find it. But I did find a big fat lie about having her work featured on HGTV and The Nate Berkus show. Was she really "featured" or was she simply a participant in a contest? Someone needs to remind her of that.
Thank goodness she is off the show. Besides…I couldnt stand another minute of her 3-D eyes popping out at me. She was scary to watch.
I am sorry but she did not play well with others.
