David dishes on this week’s many design faux pas (missing bunk beds, anyone?). Plus, who was he most disappointed (and even “irritated”) by this week?
What did you think was this week’s biggest design disaster? Tell us in the comments below.
Liz Gray is a writer and senior editor for HGTV.com. She lives in a midcentury tri-level that’s stuck in the ‘70s…for now. When she’s not working on remodeling projects with her boyfriend and mystery breed puppy, Miles, you can find her buying impractical hats, baking homemade pies and drooling over Danish modern furniture.
On Kellie's room: the little boy asked for a locker room theme. Am I the only one that hears that as a "locker room" similar to pro athletes, not a room with lockers in it? Pro locker rooms have very large areas with chairs/benches to sit on, storage for shoes below, hooks and hangers and a shelf. Not tiny lockers like a school. he wanted the room to feel like a sports theme room. For her to make tiny "lockers" wasn't really thinking about him. I seriously doubt he wanted a bank of lockers.

You SHOULD keep your comments to yourself. Unless you know the person, you are just lowering yourselves back to a HIGH SCHOOL level by name calling.
Grow up! You have to be seen and heard, and that is not a good thing.

I think a new show of HGTV DesignStar would should have the added value of remaining team members or audience members voting one panelist judge off the show each episode. Let's level the playing field a bit. In general the snotty attitude and slipshod attempt at recognizing good design is really lame. So, really lets have the contestants a judge off each week.
