  1. I think the show is rigged and yet I find myself hoping the deserving The perfect example is Megs door not opening becuase of her design. If they weren't pulling for her, they would have eaten her up about that but they didn't even mention it. Karl's design I think was the best by far. He actually desinged architectural features like the sliding ladder which was amazing and really not complimented on that much and the fact that he really thought out every little nook in that small "house". When the show first started it was "geniune" and you felt that as a viewer but every Design Star I watch now seems scripted. Megs GREEN was aweful and I'd like to know which one of the judges would even think to use that GREEN in one of their designs! Candice Olsen , who I think is the most amazing designer, would make fun of and completely eliminate a GREEN like that in her redesign of a room. So for whatever reason, the two left standing are Karl and Meg. My theory is they want Meg to win because the two that should be left are Karl and Mark. GO KARL!signer wins every week.

  2. You eliminated two this time, so why not accec[t these final two and see how their shows do. Like the show, but David is the only one I watch now. What happened to the other?

  3. I think that Meg and Karl were the two best designers although Mark was only a tiny bit behind them. All three of them were humble and did not act like they were "our gift of Design" and they showed respect for the judges. If only Mark had done something with the belts like use them to hold towels or blankets. I am so glad that Meg won because like Candice said, she is like the girl next door. She was always so happy and wanted to please and I truly believe it when she said she felt blessed. Karl did show a lot of class in how he was so composed and congratulated her immediately. I truly liked the fact that they used designers as competitors and made the decisions themselves, rather than using the audience.

  4. As we have seen in the past when the public can vote, I believe they do not always have the best designer chosen. This was the perfect way to do the show and I applaud HGTV for the way it was conducted. Looking forward to Meg's designs.I did not like Karl's design of the TV cabinet at all, and I saw no Tuscan in that room. For the most part, I liked much of Karl's work and he may also have a show one day. Look at House Crasher with a past runner-up as the host, handsome blond guy whose name just left me! (it is late here) I thought he should have won that year he competed. I still remember his white box challenge and the surf board coming out of the box to give it 3D.

  5. I hate Meg. She is a terrible designer, was unable to complete all her projects, and she brings no new innovative designs. She just shops and puts it together seemingly cohesive. I cannot believe she won design start!! I will never see her corny show, of telling people what they did wrong (crimes they committed), when she's the number one person committing design MISTAKES!!

  6. I wish Karl had won and wish they would give him his own show. His designs seemed more interesting and he always created something different in each room. Having him stuck with Horrible Cathy was such a downer. She was the hair in the soup during the entire challenge. Surely she was put into the challenge to test the other hopeful designers, because she was terrible at designing and worse with people skills. I will not diss the winner because she tried to always be better and succeeded. Good Luck Meg.

  7. Everyone is commenting on the 'tiny house'. May I remind everyone that millions of Americans live in RVs full time and they are as small as that tiny house. They are carefully designed to use every inch of space. The tiny houses needed to have inside design similar to that of a good RV. Karl nailed it with his loft bed and storage. No RV person could live with Meg's design as there was no storage at all. We designed the inside of a 32' bus to be a home and lived in it for 10 years. I was itching to see someone put the bed in back, 3 feet off the floor, partitioning the space underneath for storage bins. WE used a bookcase at right angle to one wall to create a wall and hold books and items. RVs have small tables with benches that fold down to create another bed, and when it is a table, that is extra kitchen workspace, so put that across from the kitchen area. RVs have shower stalls and toilet rooms with class, style and good workmanship. I don't think one designer thought of the wonderful designs of a good RV and utilized those ideas. I could happily live in a tiny home if it was designed as well as a good RV. I did not like Meg's green at all, and no storage was a fail.

  8. Why Meg I hate her voice. If judged were judging for the desingn in thruout the show than Karl should had been the winner.
