How particular about your home are you? What part of your home is the messiest or least designed?
I like a cozy, comfortable organized home. Having bought my home as-is, my bathroom really needs to be remodeled; it’s messy!
If you got to add one thing to the White House, it would be…an indoor swimming pool? Or if they already have one, how about a roller rink?

What’s something no one knows about you? A hidden skill or talent?
I am pretty much an open book! I tend to tell all and have felt like I have put my foot in my mouth on many occasions.
Celebrity crush? Paul Newman!
What is the number one mistake most people make when trying to design their homes?
Most people have no sense of scale or proportion for what will work in a space.

Miera Melba, Your portfolio: photo 5, the spectacular view always takes center stage, regardless of the design! That's why you have to design to not allow the spectacular view to overwhelm your design.
I think it's brilliant to design around the view to showcase it. Location, location, location. If clients are paying for that view, they want to see it and show it to their friends. (If the view is a parking lot or brick wall you can cover it up) But what do I know? I'm 69 and love Florida.
Erik, so were you turned down for the show or something? I can't help but notice that you seem to enjoy tearing people down with your snarky, self-righteous comments…
