  1. I can't believe the judges raved about Stanley's room. It was a joke the way he put the sofa cushions on the wall. Where were the design elements? There were light gimmicks but nothing of substance. He barely did anything to the room. It was boring.

  2. Being from Texas and watching first hand the devastation done by the wildfires this year, Kris's white box was not only a creative design but also a touching tribute to the record number of people effected by the blazes. So from all of us who lost so much, thank you for thinking of us and sharing a bit of our story in such a unique way.

  3. I thought Kris' room was underrated. While it wasn't my absolute favorite (Rachel's was), I thought he created an interesting and atmospheric urban scene. I liked Stanley's room, too (if not Stanley himself). Luca's attitude is really starting to annoy me.

Maybe Meg and David don't have enough time to cover all the rooms in their reviews, so they talked about the best and the worst only. I would have liked to hear their opinions on all of them.

    • I mostly agree. I thought Kris's was the most like previous years in creating in your words an entire "atmosphere." It also seems like the designers aren't getting equal time this year. What happened to the other camera challenges? Were they all bad? Then that should be factored in to the judging, but it wasn't mentioned. Why hasn't Mikel or his work been shown hardly at all, I like what I've seen, but that hasn't been much? It would be nice to see everyone's work equally and give each of the designers equal time, so that we as viewers can see the entire picture.

  6. Miera is my favorite so far. She is the one I can best relate to. She reminds me of the designers from 10 years ago. HGTV now seems to focus & favor only the young hip designers & have forgotten about there over 50 viewers. I miss the designers & host they used to have. I used to only watch HGTV. Not anymore. I wish you still did shows that appealed to all age groups, even us folks over 50. Remember we retired baby boomers are the ones home wanting to watch & have the money to shop.

    • You're right- Miera is just like designers 10 years ago:
      Outdated, irrelevant and sometimes tacky.

Designers who are classic in their design have to walk a fine line between traditional and stodgy. It usually helps when they don't have a know-it-all attitude to boot.

  7. Luca should have gone home instead of Jordan. Luca doesn't have a clue! David darling, please stay away from the bow ties-they are not you!

  8. Kris is so very irritating to watch, therefore if he wins I would not watch anything he does. He's condescending, arrogant, selfish & disrespectful.

  9. I hope that Kris Kardashian paid for her office design. I rather HGTV spend their money on doing real people's home instead of doing something for a celebrity who could afford to pay for anything they want. I enjoy it when you do a home for someone who is struggling and can't afford to to do it themselves.
