  1. Thanks Loren, you have finally ruined D.S. with the addition of talentless, publicity addicted Kris J. I guess all the forced drama from last year wasn't enough to drive your thinking viewers away!

  2. Won't be watching tonight because of the Kardashain appearance. I won't watch, click on, or buy anything Kardashian. I can't believe they have penetrated HGTV. I thought, perhaps, they may be immune from one of my favorite channels, but no. They're everywhere and laughing all the way to the bank. Why do producers buy into them? Are they really ratings gold? Please stop the madness!

    • HGTV ratings must be lower than I thought to stoop so low as to associate with the Kardashain!.
Stoop — It means to willingly fall to the level of a LOW life or a person with LOW morals. I watch HGTV a lot but want be watching this one.

Damn HGTV what in the hell were you thinking!

    • I agree with you 100%! I don't shop in any stores that have their products and I definitely don't watch any shows with them on it!

  3. At what point does making something "accessible" become making it "cheap and pedestrian"?
These competitions limit the budget and shopping so much that we can't even really see the designers' taste level.

When is the last time a designer told you he would tag your wall with his name and you said "awesome. let's do it. it's cheap!"? or "how about I glue pennies to your dining room wall?" brilliant.

My money is on Brittney- even within the limitations she seems to have a clear concept of good color palettes, enough edginess to make things interesting, and the ability to edit herself. That said, I also think Mikel contributed more than they gave him credit for in the first challenge, so he might surprise us all soon. I'm hoping Hillari, Chris, and Stanley step it up because they seem to have strong ideas and concepts.

  4. I'm hoping Kris and Luca go home. Mikel, Stanley and Hilari do not seem to be very strong so I think they will only stay as long as they get lucky. However, I don't want Hilari to go too early because I enjoy her commentary. Rachel, Bex, Britney and Daniele are the top four in my opinion. Miera is consistent and professional, but I don't see her as a finalist.

  5. My days of watching HGTV are over! Thanks Kardashian clan for coming over to HGTV. Honestly my husband and I are steaming with anger right now. Never ever did we want to come home, eat dinner, relax, and get ideas about decorating our new home by watching ANY MEMBER of the Kardashian bunch? Gee, no thanks! Really…….HGTV, come on really?

    • Amen! It's my understanding that Kris Jenner has made a full-time job of horning onto various shows – anyone who will have her. It's all about rehabing Kris herself and Kim. It makes me sick to see people like the HGTV host and judges sucking up to this woman. Ugh.

  6. I really don't care who you have on the show. What I would like to convey to all is, everyone that appears on the screen is in need of human dynamics 101. Proper speech. proper behavior, both are missing. David, needs a proffesional clothing buyer. He looks absolutely hidious dressed like Pee Wee Herman last nite.(6/12/12). If you Don't get help at the Meadows get help somewhere! This show has been in production quite a few years, I've seen no growth, no improvement. Sad to say the least. Get with it. Growth, change,.improvement for ALL! Carry on. T.A.W.

  7. I agree with David's attire last night. Instead of arriving in his snazzy red car, he should have pedaled up on a dinky bicycle. David, be a bright young man-about-town, not a has-been kids' Saturday morning comic. Remember, it was Pee Wee Herman's PLAYHOUSE! Try not to let us remember too much about this character.

  8. Pleeeeze ! Couldn't you have chosen someone deserving? Kardashian REALLY? Is Design Star that desperate ? Makes one loose respect for such a good show, too bad.

  9. Hope hgtv is not footing the bill for kardashians, there's so many more deserving people

  10. No budget?? Hmmm. Glad Luca went home. Tired of his comments about how wonderful he is and his high end talent. Maybe Bex needed to go. She really didn't get her act together. Can't blame those awful hexagon shelves on Luca.

There is always going to be drama. But maybe David shouldn't be the drama queen. Let the contestants act out. David you shouldn't stoop to that level. Your too talented and have too much to share with the remaining contestants.
