Meg on Episode 4: What the Designers Should Stop Doing
Last season’s winner Meg chats about the best moments, the mistakes, the ideas she wants to steal (with credit) and the one thing the designers should stop doing now.

I agree with Meg, that Meira shouldhave gone home and I agree with everyone esle, that she should have gone home sooner. I too like Danielle, but she should stand up for herself. However, she was in a tough spot. How do you stop your partner from doing something that is potentially harmful to your project when they are that stubborn? If she had not helped their room would have been a mess and the Judges would have asked why she didn't help, right? I agree that Mikel works well with others and his pairing with Hilary was fun and interesting to watch. What was happening with Rachel? What she did was worse than bad design. Who puts a kids area near the garbage. A parent should know better. All she did was put plastic toys outside. She didn't design that area. It was so disappointing.

I just wonder, do the judges get to see the tapes of what goes on day-to-day and really know how everyone acts or preforms ?
Oh so glad Meira is gone!! The stumps with the succulents…great idea! This is the first episode I even remotely liked that guy though…he has come across so arrogant! I LOVE this show!! As soon as it was announced I "reserved" our tv for Tuesday nights!
Just wish I had even a portion of their budget though!!!
I wonder when Meg taped her comments? I would be surprised if the designers actually get to see her comments any sooner than we do. I liked when she was just commenting about what everyone did but this week she is giving them advice that it is too late for them to take. The winner has already been chosen, she knows that better than we do. So stick to the critique and stop giving advice.
Love the show and loved Meg's comments. She was right-on with her comments. I really liked having Meg's show right after. I'm sure all the Design stars will red the blog and take the advise of a past star. Good advise Meg. Love your show as well as Design Star.
Mac, you're missing Corvette Lady's point. All the episodes of this year's series, including the final one where the winner is chosen, were recorded months ago. We just haven't seen them yet. So Meg's advice to the contestants, while good advice, is pointless.
I was glad to see Miera go home, too, though I have to admit I was a little surprised. During past seasons I think TPTB would have kept her around for the “drama” of it all. I was glad to see someone sent home on their merit – or rather lack thereof.

SO glad Miera is gone. She was rude, defensive, argumentative, controlling, etc….and she didn't have one original idea…she is stuck in the 80…where she belongs. She would NOT admit she screwed up. If she had a show you couldn't pay me enough to watch it…HAPPY she is gone!!!!!
