  1. Is it just me or does Genevieve come across as superior conceited and condescending? Watch her expressions towards the contestants, seems smarmy and smug. And she belittles and makes jokes and insults of their work!! I'd like to see how she would do with their pressure and time constraints.

    • Totally agree. I miss Candice Olson who has such grace and brings warmth which is much needed with stern Vern Yip and snotty Genevieve Gorder.

  2. I love Megs show she has awesome ideas. I to think Genevieve comes off as condescending, wasnt she the one that put feathers on a wall in that design show from years back when ty was the carpenter. I remember her designs as being crazy, i always felt she was the worst, go figure.

  3. I recall that Meg was very gracious to her fellow contestants last season. On her show, she has great rapport with her carpenter and they seem to be a good team. David lost that when he moved his show from California to Florida. I no longer watch his show – just couldn't warm up to his Florida team and also, his Florida designs.

On one of Meg's shows, she had some family pictures done on wee little wooden blocks, then hung them on a massive brick wall. They looked ridiculous! She has her ups and downs as a designer but seems to be a nice person.

  4. Even though I don't always love Meg's designs, her comments here are spot-on. She is thoughtful, kind-hearted and down-to-earth. Meg, you've gone up in my estimation with this competition. Nice guys DO finish first!

  5. Danielle, Brittany and Hilari had the best rooms! The right designer won due to both a beautifully designed room and a great camara challenge. I absolutely love Hollywood Regency and Brittany did a fantastic job… but her camera challenge was weak. In addition to the comment about "not" winning… during the eposide, she made a comment when Danielle told her about the items she had found. Brittany was not "happy" for her at all. I believe that Danielle and Brittany will be the final 2 designers standing!! Can't wait until Tuesday!!

  7. After reading several negative comments of Genevieve as a snarky judge, I have to add that I also dont like her design ability – so how does she get to be a judge????

  8. I think that both Hillary and Danielle should be selected to do a show. Together they would make a dynomite team. It wouldn't be the first time two individual talents were put together to create a dynamic dream team.

  9. Oops, sorry, I meant Brittany and Danielle. Hillary is good, but doesn't quite come up to the level of these two designers together. Sorry, Hillary….not this time.

  10. Producers:

I am giving a shout out for a DESIGN IDOL. Bring in a host, an audience, judges, and wanna be design stars.

Take my free advice. I wish I was there to help you see a vision for the future of HGTV.
