It's been a two person race since week one Danille and Britany! The only other two (bex and yuki)that were any good were already voted off
Brittany is and has always been the best designer in this whole bunch. However, she can pack her bags now, the demographics of the winner were decided before the first episode and she doesn't fit their choice.
You are the 2nd person that has made the show about "race' instead of "designing talent" Apparently, you nor the other person watches the show on a regular bases. A black designer, Kim Myles, won Season 2 of Design Star!!!
Yes, Brittany is a fine designer, but so is Danielle and Hilari!! And let's not forget that design alone will not win the show… they must be able to "host" a show!!!!!
Yes, Brittany is a good designer, but Danielle is as good and she is better in front of the camera. It seems that most people aren't taking the fact that this competition is to determine who is the best designer for a TV show.
Yes, we have seen Brittany's & Danielle's design probably more times than we can count, but let's face it… while design can be very creative, it MUST be functional!!! Let's be practical! Which design do you believe would be replicated the most?? RIGHT…Danielle's & Brittany's design!!
Well none of these kitchens were practical, it was all for photo shoot set up, not regular day to day living. I agree with others, chandeliers?.. That wallpaper was overkill.. I would've thought they should have styled more based on the sink style. Kohler must be disappointed it didn't get more attention to it. Also would've tried to do more with the window (which was too small). A window in a kitchen should give it a more open, air feeling. ____Minor point besides… whats with Vern's wardrobe?? That plaid jacket is not flattering, and should be disposed along wlth that bow tie he wore last week! ____
I keep thinking that Stanley needs to learn that not all creative ideas are good design ones. If he wants to be primarily an 'artist,' he can go on espressing himself freely. People will either buy his tables and his hand-handles or reject them. But a designer who is working with other people's spaces cannot think solely about what is interesting and fun to him. He must temper his urges….and meld them with his clients' and their needs.
Those 'helping hands' would have been really acceptable to many of us….if only one or two were used as towel hooks. But as he did with the space age, phallic table that turned out to be basically weird, the hands on cabinets….also ended up weird.
Creativity also needs 'editing.'
