  1. It was a great, tense show last night, and Brittany finally got a win! For some reason, they criticize her more and I believe she is a beautiful talented person inside and out. It just shines though. Having said that, I believe that Danielle has already been chosen or Hillani for their good camera presence, which I don't believe is fair. Since David was so rough at first on camera. Oh, well, I would love Brittany to win so I could watch her ideas, but since she is not given much slack believe she won't win. Hope that I am wrong. Brittany really has it, looks and talent.

  2. ok so i am a 12 yr old girl and i LOVE design star!!!!! I know all their names where their from and i love HGTV because i want to be an interior designer when i get older and an Actress….who knows? ANYWAYS Hilari is my favorite and Brittany is my 2nd fav! Danielle ALWAYS have time management issues and she is a very talented designer though. But Hilari did a fantastic job! Her room was good and i really enjoyed her on the talk show. And i am loving Brittanys room!!! I totally would have wanted either blue or yellow!! But she picked the colors that i would have picked. Yellow, blue, and brown(the floor)!!! :D Well anyways i hope Hilari or Brittany wins!

  3. Hmmm, really? If I were on MasterChef and delivered an unccoked cake every week I would have been kicked of on week 2. Danielle does great partial projects, and has been in the bottom how many times. I love her accessories. and would love to see them as a finished product. I think the show is biased in who and what they show, that seems obvious. I am beginning to wonder about the show's integrity, it seems engineered. Then we have Brittany who has never been up for a bad design and actually know the least about! I think she has had the best and most consistant designs. We never learned mujch about Mikel either and he was someone I would have liked to learn more about. Oh well the finals will be interesting…I hope!

  4. I think Hilary and Britney are the best there. Danielle's kind of dropping every week. I loved her in the second week with the whitebox challenge, but after that, I am not really appreciating her personal design.

I would watch either Hilary or Britney's shows.

  5. I think Britney did an awesome job on design and The Talk. My nanny Is using the tip Brit gave in her room! Go Britney and Danielle!

  6. The judges act as though the winner of Design Star has to instantly become Jennifer Aniston or Oprah – dazzling everyone with their toothy grins. Britany is a top designer and has shown this in every challenge. In time, she will become comfortable in front of the camera (they aren't letting the cameras run without stopping on David's show – I'm sure there are plenty of flubs; and have you seen David's Sherwin Williams commercials? Pretty stiff. Egad!) . The camera may be in love with Hilari, but it will be much more difficult for her to acquire the talent necessary to prove that that love affair is worth pursuing – especially if there's "no there, there." But what do I know? They're all "doing" and I'm just "watching"! Ha!

    • Wow! Youre a hater! "No there, there!" you do not know these people and the edited glimpse of them that you get to see only shows how programmed you are to eat anything someone feeds you. Your strong personal opinion is tacky! Talk about design, not about your personal bias!

    • I agree, his commercial was horrible at best, very stiff and phony.

  7. All ofthe designers are great, but in the end only one person can win! Brittany had another great design, but let's face it… we have seen that same design aesthetic time and time again; not to mention she has used the same color palette several times and her architecutural graphic design are becoming reduntant, too. Danielle & Hilari has shown us some design and color range. And what DS in any of the previous 6 seasons has not been in the bottom a few times? It will be interesting to see who will win this year!!

  8. Britany is such an incredible designer! Even though her signature style is bold and graphic she can design just about anything including a Hollywood lounge and outdoor space. Also on her blog she mentions that she has a far more fun and bubbly personality than what they have edited her as on the show. I totally recommend her blog for an inside scoop on the challenges and funny moments you don't see on the show. There is definitely a reason why she has never been up for elimination. Go Britany! :)

  9. I think the panel fixates a bit too much on the candidates “camera personality”. Yes, likability and personality are important, but not nearly as much as their creative abilities in my book. Let’s hope the best actual designer wins this year, as opposed to person the panel deems has the best camera presence. That skill can and will improve with work.

    • Flynn, Wholeheartedly agree with you. Most successful DS winner, David, did not even have camera challenges.

  10. I hope we get to see Hilari & Britany in the final. I loved Danielle in the earlier episodes, but I’m worried the stress of having to complete a design every week for her own show would give her a nervous breakdown. I really thought she would be going home this week instead of Mikel. Maybe his room looked worse in person, but I thought it looked good on tv. And I know I’ve seen other design shows where the sofas faced each other without all the uproar over the difficulty of watching the television. Meanwhile, I thought Danielle’s room looked unfinished. I’m sure she would have done a fabulous job with sufficient time (and a glass table).
