  1. Hilary was robbed!!! She did the absolute best yurt! Her colors were dynamic and lively. The purple silk was pure luxery….much much better than Danielle's yellow painted vinyl. Her bed was right in line with her theme and no one said a word about those lovely hanging orchids. The girl also exited with class. Hillary is funny and full of personality. She would be so much fun to watch and very personable as well as talented. The judges made a HUGE mistake.
Brittany's teal (again) ceiling treatments were beautiful as was the lighting treatment. The reclaimed wod headboard was terrible and way out of proportion to the room and the bed. I did not know that pipes for hanging clothes was luxery but the idea was really silly. I doubt she could even move it anyway.
Danielle's room was a mish-mosh of stuff just thrown together with no real theme that I could see. She had a few nice pieces (dresser and the round wall hanging) seriously a cowhide rug with the other items???? I guess the Genevieve really liked the texture. Fantastic Vern……you need new glasses!
Oh yes, so Genevieve did not like Hilary's purple silk puddles…. something she herself does alot..

  2. I guess the fans have given up on voting for yuki on line show thats really sad, maybe yuki, Halari, and stanley can team up and work togather someday.

  3. Seriously? I mean how can you people boot someone whose name is Hilari?
It's in Hilari's nature to be HILARI-OUS! (ha :P ) And personsable, informative, etc.

I can see Hilari hosting her own show on HGTV. It's like she belongs on HGTV, seems like such a good fit.
Hello. I thought she was so adorable.
You all suck at HGTV. Just want ya to know that wasn't cool.

    • I just started watching this season about three weeks ago and immediately picked Hilari as the ultimate winner. So, I was really surprised at her elimination last week. Could she have been too strong a personality for the folks at HGTV? Just askin…..

  4. Loved Hilari! Can't believe she was eliminated. I really don't get it. :(

    • Jan is right on! How in the world the judges didn't see Hilari's amazing ability with her design, implementation, color pallet, inter-action with her carpenter, both camera challenges – I could go on and on – I was and still am – so disappointed. Go Hiliari – you are FANTASTIC!

  5. Give me a break. David, you weren't so fabulous on your camera challenges but they worked with you to make you fabulous. You had the right elements to start with so they made it work. So what Hilari didn't deliver all the take aways clearly during the competition? She did the best out of all 3. She has the bones to be a great host of her own show! Hilari made watching DS more enjoyable. When you record your own show, there's plenty of chances to tweak all that. Hilari being booted off was just lame. Her design was beautiful. So what you didn't like her design choices? It's her design and her point of view. It looked just fine to me. No where near the ugly someone from last season produced and still won in the end =

  6. This is the first time I thought the panel really botched it. Hilary was splendid with her design and her presentation. I'm very sorry to see her go.

  7. Come on, people! Just think for a second… this is a produced, EDITED television show with an agenda. Of course they weren't basing their decision to send Hilari home SIMPLY on that one last design. There are always factors and considerations that we don't see or know about … scenes, interactions, HOURS of filming, outtakes, etc etc etc. So the "personalities" that we see (Hilari = the funny, down to earth one, Britany = consistent Barbie, Danielle = sophisticated crybaby) are obviously shaped that way (no doubt with some truth and integrity) but… it's entertainment. We never know the whole story. Not trying to be mean, just sayin :) I think they're all super talented!

  8. I thought the judges did a great job and thought Hilari needed to go home. Her room was dark and all the purple fabric would make me claustrophobic. I thought Hilari had an awesome camera presence and I am sorry she had to go home.

  9. I ve said it 3 years straight that i m going to stop watching this show as its predetermined who will be the winner. What a huge mistake to eliminate hilary as she would appeal to a more diverse crowd and show a sense of humor, which hgtv is lacking. As long as genevieve is a judge, i will no longer be watching design star. She thinks shes on top but if you ever watched her show, her designs suck. I m finished with design star. You go hilary. Go prove them wrong.

  10. Is this show rigged?????? I have watched all the series over the years and have often wondered if the producers had already picked who they believe should be the next design star.
It was evident that Hilary was by far a better designer than Danielle. I was shocked she was voted off. Not the best decision.
That being said, I hope Britany wins ………… let's see what happens.
