  1. I just watched the first two episodes and was happy to see there was no "design drama" that distracted from the content. Refreshing ! Congratulations Danielle.

  2. Like the show but I wish people would learn to speak properly. "Me and my friend" is not correct and makes the person saying it sound ignorant. I have noticed this on other design shows also. I think the designer thinks that he or she is being cute but that is not the case.

  3. I have been following Design Star for many seasons and I truly think Danielle is one of your best. I like her simple idea of taking a few meaningful possessions and creating a room around them. Also, I thoroughly enjoy the easiness of watching her. Her contagious smile and friendliness to both her clients and co-workers make for a very pleasant half hour of HGTV watching! Keep up the good work, Danielle.

  4. I kept looking at that fridge and that windowsill and wondering if they can even open the right hand door of the fridge. Not sure from the viewing angles, but I didn't think it would work. And the dishwasher door clears the island, but barely. The ergonomics of actually cooking there didn't seem right to me. Kitchen design is more than getting the colors right. I like Danielle's personality though– she seems very charming and sincere.

      • Not the refrigerator door. The right hand door can't open fully, and will hit the window sill.

  5. Love Shop This Room and I think Danielle is the best since David Bromstad. She's doing a great job.
Keep up the good work Danielle!

  8. Enter text right here!Episode 4: I was really stunned that Danielle did not take into consideration the wife’s main problem she voiced, which was no storage space in kitchen, like cabinets. Danielle’s plan showed a beautiful backsplash, but NO cabinets AT ALL! Looks like she got too carried away with accent pieces rather than what was practical. They will probably have to get someone to build in cabinets, etc. Also, the drawers in the island were too shallow for kitchen functionality.

However, I love Danielle’s creativity and plan to watch all her shows. I’m sure her kitchens going forward will have more practicality in addition to looking fantastic.

  9. I have a complaint. How can I find the similar shops that Danielle uses in my area/region? I don't want to go to NYC/Brooklyn to shop. So how can I find what I want?
Danielle, I love your show. I have scheduled my day so I don't miss your show. Thank you for including your aunt. I wish you had asked her questions about growing herbs and such indoors. Please include her again.
Thanks to the producers for the episode dealing with the client that needed to clean out the room her mother had used. Your compassion, Danielle, allowed viewers to see how to work through loss and still keep the essences of our loved ones alive. Your tie of the old–the loss mother–to the new–the client's grandchildren–were wonderful.
You EARNED DS7. Now if HGTV can at least let your show last long enough so I can tape a good 30 or more episodes!!!!
