  3. I thought Leslie's rom looked crowded, her deck could not nor did look like addition living space. As for the Murphy bed, it was not original to the show and who nails a sheet to the bed? Hiliari was the clear winner! I'm very disappointed with the Judges

  4. What paint color did Tom use in the shipping container behind his drawings on the Finale of Design Star All Stars?

    • Yes to Tom's design talent! And it is weird how HGTV seems to be allergic to a neutral room no matter how well done.

  6. Well I guess this is the end of the blogging season for Design star. Hilari made a bad mistake on her camera challenges at the beginning when she tried to be a stand-up comedian. First impressions are lasting and I believe the judges never quite got over those challenges. She was not popular with the viewers only 6% voted for her.

As I stated before I think All Stars need fresh judges that are not connected with Design Stars.

If HGTV cared about it's viewers Dan Vickery would have gotten a show. Hilari's supportors are very small compared to the injustice Dan received from Candice and Gen and the outcry from the viewers.

Watch this show–but expect fairness. It just does not happen.

  7. I wish that were so – I loved his room – simply brilliant.

  8. I think he has quite the career on his own. Plus I saw an article of how he's given back to the community by involving high schoolers in the design process. (It's more than I can describe here). I hope HGTV continues to involve him on some level – and not just as a competitor. I have a feeling he could design circles around most of the HGTV family, and he also just seems like a really nice man.

  9. maybe the judges remembered the organ meat comment…the color was too intense for a small room…
hilari can pick out a sofa but that fact doesn't make her a designer…same with leslie and her coffee tables…tom had a plan which is the best way to approach design…and his drawings were to die for…hey tom come on over…he's got so much talent..

  10. So Leslie won??? I couldn't agree with you more. Leslie's space was a hot mess. Perhaps the judges factored in the two previous times when she was deemed the winner; both times when working with others. Perhaps it was her camera challenges, which were somewhat entertaining. Her winning status could not be because of that jumbled, cluttered eyesore that she produced for the finale. Can't imagine that photo on the cover of any magazine, unless it is a 'How to De-clutter Your Space' guide. The judges clearly made their decision based upon factors that had nothing to do with designing. I am truly disappointed with them. What a shame!
