  1. I missed the past two weeks. Watching today I can't believe that Hilari is one of the last three. She is so immature & I don't care for her attitude , not some one I would look forward to seeing on HGTV. Why would they even have brought her back as she had some of the fewest online votes. So she will likely win as sometimes I think the judges can be snobs & go against online voters.

    • What was so immature about Hilari? Please answer. Was Leslie immature as well? How about Tom and all of his giggling? What is wrong with Hilari's attitude? What has she done to make you say that? She has always been a pleasant contestant and worked well with others. I don't think that statement is very fair.

      • I agree, Hilari was always calm, yet bubbly and pleasant to watch-no poor attitude that I observed.

  2. Disagree with the winner…sorry. Hilari brought it every week and deserved to win it all. All the designs were good, but overall….have to give it to Hilari.

      • I think it was a really close finale but I got a kick out of Hilary most of the time and would really like to see more of her somewhere. She was naturally funny yet talented.

    • Loved Hilari!! Such a unique approach to everything!!!

    • I agree…Hillari was denied the victory, she is clearly the best of the 3 that competed!!! I was really disappointed last night when she didn't win. Her aesthetic is fresh, cheerful, and sophisticated. Hopefully she will still get a spot on HGTV because she is clearly a talented, forward thinking designer, and she has a great personality. Sometimes the ones the panels pick fizzle out after 1 or 2 shows…it's as though their focus is on potential more than talent.

  3. Congratulations Leslie. A job well done. I agree with the judges.

    • I could not disagree more…she was CLEARLY not the best designer of the three…she was actually the least talented!

Maxine on August 22, 2012 at 4:13 pm
      • I'm surprised. I thought Tom was the least talented. To each their own.

  4. After watching the final show, it is offical.. I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS PROGRAM AGAIN… Lesile was not the best designer. Between Tom and Hillari were far better designers.. As far as hosting, Lesile was no better than Hillari. I thought the show was part design and part hosting. HGTV you have just lost a viewer with such a poor choice for a winner.

    • I agree. Hillary should have won. They said the out door space was very important. I thought Hillary nailed it all.

  5. VERY disappointed in tonights results :( Will not watch her show.

    • Leslie is not getting her own show. There is a cash prize and guest appearance on another show.

  7. I have to say, I am a bit upset that Leslie won the challenge. Hilary stepped up and designed a space that showed her versatility and looked absolutely beautiful and so welcoming. She consistently hits the mark with her designs and performed well in all of her camera challenges. I am really disappointed with the outcome.

  8. Congratulations to Leslie but you could tell who Genevie really wanted to win through out the competition so it really was no surprise when Leslie won.

  10. I think that the judges are out of their minds. Vern and Gen were correct when they stated no outside space, not much thought here. Hilari rocked it for sure, and Tom stayed true to who he is. Why make a show when you know who your going to choose? Gen, for future knowledge, color does change with lighting, the Salmon, it SHINED. Simply a very BAD choice.

Robert on August 21, 2012 at 10:10 pm
    • The challenge was based on maximizing the living space. Hilari brought her game. The judges should be ashame of themselves. I have supported HGTV for years. I am very disappointed.

Shema on August 21, 2012 at 10:19 pm
    • I definitely agree! I was shocked when she said the color with the blues, reds, etc did not hit the mark. I thought her room was amazing. It was a smooth, colorful flow of style but still provided so much function. I did not like Leslie's space at all. The bed provided more floor space, however, that floor space had no flow and just looked like it was literally thrown together. So very disappointed in the final choice. I have no interest in watching any show that Leslie hosts…I find her personality "all about me", just plain overbearing.

stacey on August 21, 2012 at 10:21 pm
      • I agree with Leslie's "All about me" attitude, Who would want to watch that?, the judges said that her camera challenges improved because she practiced them at home and made the comment that she "really wants this" based on her camera challenge improvements. They completely discarded Hilari's remarkable improvement in design and ability to put constructive criticism to use with her design. The judge's missed the mark on this one. I will not be watching Leslie!!!
