I had made up my mind NOT to watch Design Star this year after the cheating they did last season. Antonio did not “win” he was picked to BE the winner before the show ever began. They had his shows all set to air b/4 the voting. But I see they are putting Dan on a show and he should have won, glad the viewers went to bat with this one. I would NEVER watch Antonio, he makes me want to buke! So glad some Americans like a clean cut clean shaven American boy. Did hgtv think Antonio was suppose represent the American Sex idol? I don’t like Genevieve as a designer (personal opinion) and disappointed in Vern. He does not add his mail. He keeps saying “so and so wrote him” I don’t believe that..he does not answer his emails. How could they have written him. He may draw out design, but WHAT are his talents?

Candice thought Antonio was the best reveal ever-duh!!! That confirms it. She doesn't do her own designing Someone else does it and she just talks and 'giggles' on the show. I used to watch her every day, but forget it not going to watch any more – she has no taste. And Vern, what was up with him letting the women convince him. Dan was the BEST and read the comments HGTV, everyone loved Dan. Let the public vote not three people who THINK they know it all.

Watched Antonio's show. What was the judges thinking when they picked hm. Even though his designs may be impressive. They are not for the average person. I would not want him to work in my home. Love this program. I have watched HGTV for years now. Love Candice, Vern, Genevieve, and voted for David Bromstad to win Design Star. I really feel that lonny was a great designer, and did'nt like to see her go. Keep up the good work HGTV designers, only wish some day I could have you design for me!

I do not care for Genevieve Gorder as a judge, I really enjoy Candace & Vern they are both wonderful judges and hosts. Genevieve seems condescending in her criticism.

I have enjoyed watching this years contest but have been very dissapointed by the comments to the contestents. I feel that there are kinder ways to criticize.

I was appalled by the way Tashica Morgan was treated. Not only were the other contestants rude to her, but the judges were as well. I agree that she should have been sent home. I thought she would be eliminated the first night. I was glad to see her given another chance and still agree that she should have been sent home. But, I have to say I lost a lot of respect for (one) of the judges who has been a favorite. I thought it was totally rude to have interupted her and whisper to the other judges with out giving her a chance to complete her feelings. I feel the same way about those who are also competing. She didn't have a chance from the beginning.

I understand and appreciate the help given by CONSTRUCTIVE critisism, but in front of thousands of people, I felt some of the comments were totally uncalled for. What a way to ruin a persons ego.

Please in the future consider the persons feelings and help them in private and not be so rude in front of their friends, family and fans of HGTV.

I am peeing my pants with excitement to see, watch and hear what Candice has to say. I LOVE all her work (watching her for more then six years I think there were only two re-design rooms I didn't care for). Not only is she a fantastic designer she is fun to watch. Great choice in judges this season HGTV.

There were very few episodes aired. I saw a couple and was not impressed. Since she was pregnant, they probably stopped production. I don't know if the show will come back or not.

Vern Yip, shame on you. I enjoyed some of your shows and you apeared to be a nice guy, but it seems that when you became a judge you changed. There are many ways to tell someone their design is not good but you went for the cheap shot, the "sound bite" when you compared someone's work to a rainbow throwing up. You need to remember these are people putting themselves out there on TV and that kind of comment is cruel and makes you look terrible. You are not Simon Cowell and it doesn't work for you ,it just make you very unlikable. It seems that Genevieve is not far behind either. Maybe she is looking for the sound bite, too!

I can't believe Vern Yip is back. I thought he was extremely unfair to a couple of last year's contestants – especially Mikey V. He was also a little hypocritical to some of the contestants – particularly one of the bedroom designers in an early episode. The designer placed two beds together end-to-end. Vern ripped the design to shreds – and then used a similar design on his own show! He was the one judge I most wanted to see go!!!

I am excited about the addition of Candice but not so sure about Genevieve. She is a newbie to HGTV. I wonder why she was picked. I haven't really seen a full episode of her show. It seems to be the same old same old. I would have been doubly excited if David Bromstad is one of the judges or even a guest judge. You will make his enormous fanbase very happy and I am sure a lot of HGTV fans as well.

I'm excited about Candace being a judge! Finally someone with experience who proves it by doing, she is hands down the best designer on HGTV. Genevive is good from what I have seen, not too far out there. I hope for a much improved Design Star this year.

I realize that all designers have had at least one bad design idea, with that being said I hope that the judges remember that when they are evaluating the other designers. I remember seeing Vern and Genivieve years ago on trading spaces and Genevieve actually designed a room by placing MOSS on the walls..that was bad! she wanted to bring the outside indoors..I just thought boy what a bad design! I know she has grown but it just shows that even the panel makes mistakes.

I look forward to seeing Candace Olsen as a judge. (I’d like to know what here budgets are). I never understood why Vern Yip is a judge OR how does Genevive qualify? She’s done some really off putting stuff. I doubt that she won a competition. Clivey Pearse has the personality a bowl of oatmeal.

I am absolutely thrilled that Candice Olson is one of the judges this season. I watch HGTV almost exclusively, and have for many years. Candice has the most exquisite taste, and I adore almost everything she’s ever designed.

Candice will provide a perfect opportunity for Vern and Genevieve,…as well as the contestants,…to learn from a master,…she’s the absolute best. And I can say from watching all their shows, that Genevieve is pretty good, but Vern’s design talents are marginal.

Wow, what a perfect change Candace Olson and Genevieve Gorder, it is awsome having HGTV Designers for judges and they are a couple of the best (but David Bromstad is my all time favorite, voted for him and would give anything to have him come do a room in my home). Of course we love Vern both as a judge and his show Deserving Design. Can’t wait to see the new Design Star Series I have watched previous 3 and really get into it!!!!!

On a slightly different note; I heard that Vern’s show, Deserving Design, might be ending. I hope not, I live in Atlanta, where he has show-cased many deserving Atlantans.
His show does so much to shed light on ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

I love Candace Olson! She is one of my favorite designers.
Also love Clive, Genevieve & Vern!
I am a designer & big fan of Design Star.
So glad to see Interior Designers such as these on the Show.
I am hoping this season is much more professional than last season.
If it weren’t for the show we would not have come to know David Bronstad & Kim Myles and so many other talented designers.

Design Star should have always had people with their own shows on HGTV doing the judging.
