Lucille Ball did NOT live here. She and Desi lived IN Chatsworth in the Valley, not on an estate called Chatsworth. Their ranch, called Desilu (the namesake of their production company that came later), was a single story traditional home that still stands – in much the same condition as it was when they resided there – in what is now a subdivision. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their beautiful colonial-style home on Roxbury Avenue in Beverly Hills. That house has been gutted, renovated and stuccoed into a banal spanish-style home.

If I'm not mistaken, the Chatsworth Estate is a rare breed, one of only 3 private residences built by the architectural team of Pereira/Luckman, although individually (and together) they designed numerous commercial buildings throughout California and the West.

I love the blue color in the kitchen, but you have to have a modern designed kitchen to get away with that bold color I could never see that color in my home. The chairs are cute but look very uncomfortable.
