Dan should have won this competition. The second place winner should have been Lonni.

If you were going to make sure that Antonio was the winner, which is clear that is what the judges intent was from the start, why didn't you just give Antonio his own show and not put him into the Design Star competition. I guess that is also the reasoning behind changing the way that the winner was chosen this season – by the judges, not the viewers. You have taken all the fun out of the Design Star show. That is such a shame because it was really a great show the past three seasons and I didn't want to miss a moment of them. This year has been different because it was plain from the start that the judges had been told to make sure that Antonio was the winner. I do also believe that Antonio knew this as well, so that's what gave him the freedom to be such an obnoxious contestant. The commercials for Antonio's show started right after the final Design Star last night, which means that Dan never even had a chance.
If Design Star comes back on for another season, there will need to be different judges and the viewers should choose the winner.

I have to add my comments also. I am highly disappointed in the Judges choice and I will never watch Antonios show. I would never allow any designer who looks and acts like he does into my home!!! Dan was far better and his designs were awsome!. Antonio is the most uncouth person around and he did whatever he could to sabatoge Dan. Go back and look at the tape regarding the money on the landscaping show. Dan was given the 5000,00, Antonio asked him how much Dan answered five thousand and Antonio said no 10,000. How could you not miss that. I also will not watch the shows of two of the Judges and will think about watching the third one which I have always enjoyed. Lousey Pick by all of them!!!!!!!

I am very disappointed in the judging this year. Dan clearly was the winner, I think HGTV was looking for someone different and not someone who could design. If one of the three judge's worked in my home and did the job Antonio had done on the show I would have fired them. I have seen all three judges work and they are all very good at what they do. Why Antonio? Where you told this is who you had to vote for.

I REALLY feel bad for Dan, he was delt a great injustice. And we are all very disappointed with the three judge's!
My family and I will no longer watch Design star…

Really disappointed in the outcome of the new hgtv star. Dan by far is way better than Antonio ever thought about being. Not only that but has had a better disposition about his self through out the whole thing. Antonio on the other hand should have been kicked off the show when he said he would rather go home instead of painting a room tan. Come on now is that showing your viewers how to work well with others. You guys really disappointed me this year. By all rights Day should have won the Design Star. You didn't have anything bad to say about Dan's home make over and Antonio and that GREEN. What the keck. I know I wouldn't want to wake up to that GREEN everyday. The only thing decent about Antonios home make over was the kitchen. How is that compared to Dan's beautiful home makeover.. Come on and get with it. Its no wonder that David Bromstad is better than all of you guys put together…David in my books is the best at least he gives something of his self to the people he designs for.. Love Davids work and Dan reminded me of David…

umm i love his giggle it makes him seam like a fun and like able person, also if your were on this nerve racking show i think you would be giggling your ass off! but i do agree they should have kept lonnie but get rid of antonio i love him but in kathie griffins office he made so many mistakes like the random tables, that were place mat thingy, the car rim? (was i the only one to notice that) , and he made me forget there was a fireplace in there.

I'm sorry Dan, but your constant giggling, bad decisions, and lack of designs that catch my eye and interest is a complete turn offI. If you win, I for one, won't be watching your new show.

However, I wish Antonio all the luck in the world and have my fingers crossed that he will win 'Design Star'
He's such an awesome designer, a natural in front of the camera and can build anything! It's great to see a 'real man' taking interest in designing. Seems most men just take an interest in 'Man's Land' projects and not see the whole picture as in 'Womens Land' too.

Should have kept Lonnie. Dan made a huge 10,000 dollar mistake, that was not using common sense, yet Lonnie did not get a head board up because the carpenters could not do it.
