Jennifer Bertrand Update
Jennifer, a fan favorite and winner of season three, wrote a wonderful guest post over at Jenean Morrison: Art, Design and Inspiration blog that tells what she’s been up to and the heartwarming story of her son.

Also, if you missed her show last week, we have all the full episodes for Paint Over here.

Hope HGTV orders more shows from you Jennifer – the first ones were so interesting to watch – you have such a way with people! What a lot you have been through in the past year – Bless you for all you do.
I thought that your show was wonderful and touching — and loved your designs (especially the painting in the chill out yoga room). I hope you are able to keep sharing your gifts with us and also take care of your son (and spend time with your husband). We'll take you part time rather than not at all!!! Best wishes to you and your family.
Strength vibes to Jennifer and her husband. What an incredible story. I wish Jennifer all the best.
New show "Paint Over" – I caught it last weekend- Sorry it was awful ! Definetly not worth the wait. HGTV could
wait for this vehicle to crash then give the time slot to Dan Vickery.
No. What they need to do is get rid of some of the real estate shows. There is plenty of room for more designers. She has a great connection with the home owners, listened to their needs, met and exceeded their expectations. Wether or not you liked her makeovers is a matter of taste. She did a good job and should be given the chance to do more shows.
met and exceeded many of their expectations
I totally agree that there are way too many real estate shows! "Buy Me" needs to go! I would love to see more design shows as well! I do like the home improvement shows on Saturday morning. Especially "Hammer Heads".
Jennifer has such a sweet personality and is so cute on TV. I am so touched by her story and had absolutely no idea that she and her husband have been going through this. I am praying for little Winston, Jennifer and her husband.
That was unnecessary. Instead of wishing more hurt on Jen couldn't we all live without watching "House Hunters" three times a day?
I like the way Jen listened to people and pushed them to the far end of their comfort range, kind of like what Dan does, unlike some people who just do whatever they want to do and if you "don't get it" that's your problem. I also like that chandelier she put in the little girls' bathroom. Very cute.
I have read your story and can only imagion what you are going through. As a Healthcare Professional I know you need to be strong and you seem to have that qwuality. I wish you all the best and although I know it must be hard to leave your little one to make the shows I hope to see more of your shows in the future. You truley show a caring for your make over families. God Bless you and your Family.
One of the things i love about HGTV, is, hte diversity of the shows. Thats a very hard thing to do.
If you look at all the past design star winners., there is not one., that is the same, as the other.
Thats the key. Each one is individual. I love all of thier shows., because they all represent different
talents and personalites that the DSwinners posess.
I think Antonio will fit it great! He's not a cookie cutter designer, and just like the other shows,
it will take a little bit of time, to find the right mix and content for the show., I love the fact that
HGTV has stepped outside the box this time, good choice judges!
So in one breathe you claim each is individual and then in the next condemn them for being cooking cutter, which you say Antonio's not.
Confused much?
Thinking outside the box? No thinking occurred at all they simply handed a show to the least talented of the two.
Dan is certainly not a cookie cutter designer either. Look again at their white room decors. Dan excelled way over the others as Vern commented on, even the last night of the designs and voting.
They're suppossed to pick the best designer, not the best bully! It was hard to see the talent of others when Antonio is telling them all what to do. On all of the individual designs Dan excelled with flying colors. The judges had very little critisism of Dan's designs. They had numerous problems with Antonios's designs. So, how did he win? Someone didn't play fair when judging!
P.s. Thank you for deleting that 'ugly' comment.
Dear Antonio, here's wishing you a succesful run. Keep giving us quality work I'm sure you will be given lots of help with things that are not your strong suit. Again Best wishes
Why in the world are you blah, blah, blahing about Antonio on Jen's blog section. Crawl back to where you belong.
Dear Jennifer I loved your show My prayers go out to you and your family.
Loved your show Jen. You are one teriffic lady.
I wasn't blown away by the first show, but continued to watch & give Jen a fair chance. I'm liking the show better with each episode. Jen is getting more comfortable with hosting, and I found a wonderful new idea with the skimstone concrete product…just in time to use it on my front porch redo. It's durable, easy to apply, beautiful AND very affordable.
Which is exactly why I watch HGTV, to be inspired to get creative with my own space.
HGTV, please order more of Jen's Paint Over shows. Maybe you can use the money you set aside to produce Antonio's program, as I doubt you'll be needing it for long.
IMPORTANT: If you like Jen's show and want to see more, please click on the "contact' link at the bottom of this page, select "Paint Over" and tell HGTV. I'm sure they don't bother to read these message boards. The viewers need to speak out about what we want to see!
Thank you Blair! I accidentally came across her show so only saw a couple and enjoyed it very much. It is so bizarre to me why we didn't have her blog last week so more people could have seen it or recorded it for later viewing.
Didn't know how we were supposed to request, so I did as you advised and hope others realize that is what we need to do so we get more episodes to watch.
Thanks again!
