Attention Frank Gehry, Frank Lloyd Wright and any other famous architect named Frank or not…kids need cool digs too. If you want to give your little ones a pad with pizazz, look no further than the Moon Rocket Playhouse from Isa Pini ($55, Available at the MOMA Design Store). Better than a fort made of couch cushions, this cardboard rocket will make for happy little munchkins on Dec. 25. Here’s the info you need:
Imagination soars in this easy-to-assemble, sturdy rocket play structure. Made from eco-friendly recycled cardboard that can be creatively decorated, it has a white body with a door, round windows, and a red cone-shaped top and wings. For ages 1 to 4.

But with precious few shopping days left you may need a pressie source closer to home. Target has also gotten into the game with the shark tent. Bonus, at $24.99 it’s half the price of the rocket ship. Note to NASA: space travel really is expensive.

Where else are you finding great gear for hip kids this season? Any stores we should know about?
