Gentlemen start your engines and get your clicking fingers ready. While you and I were ringing in the New Year, the 11th annual HGTV Dream Home Giveaway began. Now let’s get down to business. This year’s prize includes a gorgeous home in Winter Park, Colorado (ski in, ski out anyone?), a 2007 GMC Acadia and $250,000 in cash (the cold, hard kind). In total, this kit and kabootle is worth more than $2.5 million. Not a bad payoff for a couple of clicks! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any sweeter, the good folks here at HGTV.com let you enter once a day every day through Feb. 16. I say wax up the skis!
Now for the design part. There are so many neat things about this house. I already posted a photo of the adorable bunkroom. But now I’m leaning more toward the lodge room. This is what heaven must be like. I cried when I saw this home. I mean the odds of winning are so small, and thats another reason why I teared up. It was like they went into my head and designed this house… It was really really wierd. I would never pray to win, but I do pray that whoever wins this home would be so deserving!
The house is a wonderful combination of rustic and modern design. Looking forward to winning it, doing the “happy dance” on TV for you guys, then selling it before the tax bill arrives. LOL!

Thanks for bringing the outside inside! The first thing I would do is bring my Mom so she could relax in a beautiful place after she retires. This would be a dream come true for her and for my family as well.

I would be the happiest woman in the world to have the wonderful Winter Park home, BEAUTIFUL… BEAUTIFUL….PERFECT…..I am a huge HGTV fan and try many of the ideas I get on the shows. My family hates to see me get to the remote first.
Good luck everyone! I myself have a date with Dr. Zhivago in that media room, right after Great Grandma whips up snacks of grill cheese sandwiches some wine and apple wedges in that beautiful kitchen. It’s so nice to get up and out of the inversion of Salt Lake City. My 3 yr old granddaughter will love the game table to work her Dora puzzles and I will stock the mini fridge with gogurt and mandarins for her. AHH! VISUALISE.
Ps.. Can we convert ther Doggy Dream House into a multi-family dwelling for squirrels? Because my pooch stays in the house.
This is truly a beautiful home in a great location. We lived in Colorado, but now are living in Kansas to be near our grandchildren. It would be a blessing for our entire extended family to be able to be in Winter Park. Many thanks to HGTV for the great variety of shows.
i’d really love to win this home: however if i did, i would have to add some closets.people haven’t a place to hang their coats,if arriving at the front door.the guest bedrooms do NOT contain any closets either!how is anyone really suppose to move in without a place to hang one’s clothes?
It is a phenomenal home, to receive such a gift would truly be a blessing. For many years I have invisioned a home in the mountains, just not for myself but to also be able to share with others. The idea of having retreats whether it be spiritual, contemplative, family, or just fun would give life so much more meaning. Thank you for giving people like myself the chance to live the dream.

I love the style, love the mountains. We are fairly new to skiing, but for the last 5 years have enjoyed immensely. With the 3 children, spouses and grandchildren we would have a wonderful time in CO. I’ve tried to enter every day. Would love to own this beautiful home!!
We have been going to this area for about 14 years but we go in the summer and meet friends from coast to coast to ride dirt bikes in the breathtakingly beautiful mountains. This home is the dream of anyone that loves the mountains as much as I do and gets the Rocky Mountain High every time I stand and look across their awsome beauty. This home beautifies it all. I can’t imagine even spending a weekend there let alone having it for our very own. I hope whoever wins it loves it with all there heart…each and every inch of it’s beautiful design.
