"Design Happens"

While new products get a lot of attention at the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, upcoming trends are also a big topic of discussion, with model rooms displaying the latest design ideas. One of the more popular model kitchens was the “Digital Kitchen” created by the CABA Internet Home Alliance Research Council. This conglomeration of companies like Microsoft, HP and Whirlpool researched how to best develop an Internet-enabled kitchen, using many current or soon-to-come electronic devices and appliances. While the Internet has already found its way into many kitchens today, this particular design shows how it can be smoothly integrated to serve many different functions for the kitchen of the near-future.
