Design is at its best when it combines both modern and eco-friendly features, and when it plays with our perceptions of space. The Monte-Silo House in Woodland, Utah is no exception to this rule. This modern silo house was built from two linked grain silos, giving the home its unique, circular appearance.
Aside from its circular structure, which makes any room appear more spacious, one of the home’s sustainable features includes a southern exposure that lets in sunlight to help keep the home naturally-heated during colder months.
Perhaps one of the most interesting features of the Monte-Silo House is that the metal exterior of the home should be fully recyclable.
Would you sacrifice four walls and right angles for sustainability?

Great blog – love your website. Always fine good information here!
What a cool house! I would love to have all that space. The circular shape lends itself especially well to the kitchen!
