Calling all design fans. Have you had a chance to check out the HGTV Green Home 2009?

This modern Spanish-style home, located in Port St. Lucie, Fla., is packed with eco-friendly furnishings and home accessories custom-crafted from reclaimed materials. And you’ll be impressed by the roster of green features: solar-powered heating and cooling, energy-efficient appliances, green flooring and carpet, a central vac system, a hydroponic garden and drought-tolerant plantings (should I go on?). We’re so proud that this home has received Platinum LEED certification, a prestigious honor bestowed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

If you’re new to HGTV Green Home or haven’t had a chance to check out our micro site this week, be sure to hit up these features:

    Hi Mary,

This home is all you've said and more! I've told so many people about it. Hope they're entering because it increases my chance to spend some time in the Green Home if they win.

This home is definitely a "Keeper!"
