When I was a kid in school one of my favorite parts of the day (other than snack time) was reading time. It always felt special because we got to choose a book ourselves and there was a special part of the room to sit and read. Recently I wondered why, as a grown up, I couldn’t have a reading corner of my own.
If I could, I’d dedicate an entire room to a library. There are some creative ideas on HGTV.com:

If you’re like me, and you’ve got a little less space (okay a lot less space), find a corner, make sure you’ve got proper lighting and pick the perfect chair. Check out these pretty options I found on marketplace (http://www.hgtv.com/marketplace):
Now that you’ve found the right nook for reading, the next question is how to store all those books. In my next entry, I’ve got some ideas. In the meantime, do you have any ideas for creating the perfect reading nook?

It is nice to have a small area or a large area to use for reading. We are coming back tomorrow for the rest of this one. Thank you for the ideas of it.

I miss my days of spending a afternoon reading, I love the idea of a small space just for that.
we have an entire room devoted to a reading room, I am trying to keep it bright and clean. The walls were painted Muslin, which ended up alot whiter than expected, tan carpet, a brick wood burner wall and a built in book case… i want a crisp clean look, any advice on accesory colors, remember the brick!!
Just once could someone show a space that real people with dogs and construction workers could live in. White is so damn impractical.
[...] last time I posted a blog entry I imagined the perfect cozy reading nook – very easy to do. The hard part is sorting [...]
this is the test message
please ignore this =)
