It’s June! It’s Friday! You know what that means! We have another awesome giveaway from our pals at PartyLite.  Check out these Linear Lites Hanging Votive Lanterns. Contemporary and elegantly shaped, these lanterns hang from PartyLite’ Shepherd’s Hook Garden Stakes. This week we’re giving away 3 lanterns and 3 stakes, but that’s not all. We heard from someone people last week about the trouble you have with keeping bugs away from your parties, so PartyLite is throwing in their Citrus Bloom Citronella tealites this week.

Hanging Votive Lanterns

All you have to do is comment on this week’s question with a valid email address before Monday Night @ Midnight Eastern.  We’ll pick a random winner from all of our comments. Its that simple!

Things are already getting crazy around HGTV.  Green Home 2009 wraps up this afternoon, $250,000 Challenge premiered last weekend, and we launched the Design Star Season 4 Blog. This week also celebrated the Oscar the Grouch’s 40th birthday and have a preview of the new i-House. And we’re only 2 weeks into summer!

This week we want to know what’s the one project you keep putting off around the house that you really want to finish this summer?

Those lanterns would work with any backyard, they are very versatile.

I am looking to spice up my back yard garden.I have always loved flowers and gardening and now that summers here I get to see all the flowers are blooming everywhere but my own backyard. We spend a lot of time in our back yard cooking out with our neighbors and letting our children play together. I need to get back on track to setting my garden up.

  3. Well the number #1 thing I have been putting off outside is the replacement of my screen doors in my basement. I had already replaced them and the guy I paid to put them up did a terrible, scarry job. One screen door is stuck and I cannot get it open and the other screen door has completely blown off and was broken all to pieces.

I love PartyLite products and the lanterns will be a nice addition to our garden.

Our side of our rental duplex has a 3′ x 15′ planter bed area that faces south. I have some spring bulbs that come up that I love but have tried for years to get something to grow well there that will bloom over the summer months. I want to find some perennials that I can get started that won’t get baked in the sun. It amazes me that the weeds thrive so well in that space but I can’t keep flowers around! :) Maybe this summer will be a winner!

  6. I would like to level out our back yard. I havn’t been able to use it since I moved in eight years ago.

I would like to paint my back patio cover and put up new shade cloth. Today at Ikea store I saw this real neat round lighting fixture that would look real cool hanging up so at night setting out on the patio it would give off a nice soft glow! : -D
