It’s June! It’s Friday! You know what that means! We have another awesome giveaway from our pals at PartyLite.  Check out these Linear Lites Hanging Votive Lanterns. Contemporary and elegantly shaped, these lanterns hang from PartyLite’ Shepherd’s Hook Garden Stakes. This week we’re giving away 3 lanterns and 3 stakes, but that’s not all. We heard from someone people last week about the trouble you have with keeping bugs away from your parties, so PartyLite is throwing in their Citrus Bloom Citronella tealites this week.

Hanging Votive Lanterns

All you have to do is comment on this week’s question with a valid email address before Monday Night @ Midnight Eastern.  We’ll pick a random winner from all of our comments. Its that simple!

Things are already getting crazy around HGTV.  Green Home 2009 wraps up this afternoon, $250,000 Challenge premiered last weekend, and we launched the Design Star Season 4 Blog. This week also celebrated the Oscar the Grouch’s 40th birthday and have a preview of the new i-House. And we’re only 2 weeks into summer!

This week we want to know what’s the one project you keep putting off around the house that you really want to finish this summer?

I would love to put a concrete path on the side of our house. Once that is complete I we could add landscaping to soak up some of the runoff water we have in that area. Often time it is like a small river.

I would like to get rid of that nasty poison ivy in our front yard (that I somehow keep getting into…ughhh) and then give the front of our house some curb appeal with some beautiful lanscaping!

I would love to make our backyard into a wonderful oasis so that on my bad cancer days I can relax while watching my daughter and husband play.

I would love to be able to finally put a deck on the back of the house….but anything would be an improvement.

I would love to pull out some of the thirsty lawn in my large front yard and put in beds of drought tolerant plants, just can't seem to figure out how to get started.

Love the lights, my husband hates to weed eat around things I put in the yard, so these would be great to put next to the patio but still be able to remove. One thing I keep putting off is I need to re-do my patio, I used old bricks (that came with the 70 year old house we bought 4 years ago)but some are sinking and causing the patio to be uneven.

These lanterns would be great for the area that we are making for my mother. She passed away on March 23,2009 and we are making a natural area to scatter her ashes in . She was a horticulturist and loved plants and the outdoors so I know she would love the lanterns . We actually have some wrought furniture that was my grannies and we are painting it to make it look new . These would be a great addition to the area.

I would like to get a "rebath" done to my bathroom. They make it look easy and for an older bath i think it would be wonderful.

  9. Jessica says:

I would love to redo my whole kitchen with stainless appliances, and lots more counter space!

I really need to renovate my kitchen from the 70's
