It’s June! It’s Friday! You know what that means! We have another awesome giveaway from our pals at PartyLite.  Check out these Linear Lites Hanging Votive Lanterns. Contemporary and elegantly shaped, these lanterns hang from PartyLite’ Shepherd’s Hook Garden Stakes. This week we’re giving away 3 lanterns and 3 stakes, but that’s not all. We heard from someone people last week about the trouble you have with keeping bugs away from your parties, so PartyLite is throwing in their Citrus Bloom Citronella tealites this week.

Hanging Votive Lanterns

All you have to do is comment on this week’s question with a valid email address before Monday Night @ Midnight Eastern.  We’ll pick a random winner from all of our comments. Its that simple!

Things are already getting crazy around HGTV.  Green Home 2009 wraps up this afternoon, $250,000 Challenge premiered last weekend, and we launched the Design Star Season 4 Blog. This week also celebrated the Oscar the Grouch’s 40th birthday and have a preview of the new i-House. And we’re only 2 weeks into summer!

This week we want to know what’s the one project you keep putting off around the house that you really want to finish this summer?

I would love to replace the carpet in our home with beautiful, reclaimed lumber and get rid of the ugly wood paneling in our family room once and for all!! :)

I want to update my kitchen countertops but can't decide which material I want to use. Right now I am leaning toward recycled glass, so that is what I would like to get done this summer.

Soon, real soon I have to make new cushions and chair back covers for my patio set. I have put it off too, too long.

I have so many ideas for a cozy, outside hang out spot! I love it outside!

I always have many projects going on but the ONE MAJOR goal I have is to finish a bathroom project: turning an old antique dresser into a vanity complete with an old rustin marble or granite top and, I think–a vessell sink!!!!

I keep planning to re-paint & re-deocrate my dining room, but something always seems to come up & I never get to it.

Where should I start!?!?! We have so many projects that we need to start and finish. We have the whole cut for the skylight that I have been promised for the last 7 years would get finished. The living room that reminds you of going down into a dungeon (we have the hardwood flooring sitting in there waiting…). The bathroom that we can't decide what color to paint because the tile in the shower is gray and black and the travertine is brown…Our bedroom has yet to be touched and is still the same as when the ex lived here over 10 years ago. The back yard is the next thing to being a jungle. We arew trying to get a handle on it, but when yo have only 2 days to do everything every week, you are hard pressed to decide which you should do first. I'm sure you get my drift here.

We need to re-do our spare bedroom. My son recently moved out and I have inherited beautiful bedroom furniture (actually told it was mine when I was about 10) from my grandmother. I want the room to be special, but I can't seem to get started. I have a quilt my grandmother made for me years ago that I want to be the focal point. Love the beautiful lanterns – they are different from any I have seen.

I purchased my first home 5 years ago. A late 50's stone home. Being a single working mom, I've had time restraints staring and even finishing room facelift projects. My living room has not been touched since I moved in. Very dated, but has one full stone wall with a fireplace which I'd like to use as a starting point. I have ideas…and plan on doing the work myself…just need to focus & execute.

These would add subtle softness to our backyard!
