  1. We love our fireplace. the surround looks like stucco on which I used three different paint colors to give it depth. Because it fits in a corner it’s shape is basically like this: \___/ . On the sides, we inserted 5 x 5 slate tiles that had been etched with a moose, bear, buffalo and pinecones (3 tiles on each side). On the front of the mantle we have the same slate tiles etched with mountains. It’s like our own rustic cabin in the woods!

  2. I am most proud of my chandelier that I hung myself! It is brushed nickel with Italian Murano glass cups that hold the lights. It was a tough job, but I did it myself and it has been hanging now for 5 years! I love this chandelier and everytime I look at it I am reminded of my trip to Venice!

  3. Our living room is what we are most happy with. New arkansas stone flooring with muted brown walls, high ceilings with a fireplace and leather sleeper sofa and chairs. Took over a year project by project to create, but it looks open and inviting for us to enjoy now.

  4. I love the pink in my daughter’s room. She is a girl-girl and the bubblegum pink is adorable against her white furniture.

  6. I am most proud of my screened in patio with nearby waterfall and pond my husband and I installed. Everyone steps out on the patio and says how peaceful it is.

  8. The thing I’m the most proud of is my reading nook in my bedroom dormer that consists of a comfy chair, lots of pillows, a throw and a small ottoman. A couple of years after I created it, it’s where I would sit to nurse my baby daughter at night.

  10. I am most proud of my my upstairs hall that I sponge painted. It is a blue background with white and the white looks like clouds. After a long day coming up those steps and seeing that wall it is very relaxing.

  11. I am most proud of my back porch, I am updating it with a garden theme. The new pillows for the furniture have a blend of light green and burgundy colors. I have also added a bird cage for decor along with several potted plants.

  13. Love the Coastal Lights hand-blown glass hurricane. This would look great as a centerpiece for a wedding reception too, with a white candle or a large flower arrangement.

  16. The one thing I am most proud of in our house is my late uncle’s flag. It symbolized the service he gave to our country and I cherish it more than any other item in our entire house. Nothing could ever replace it.

  17. I am proud of my tile floor throughout the living room and kitchen, especially the foyer. I found 4 tiles designed with a mosaic pattern which when arranged together create an expensive looking entry way.

  18. I am most proud of the progress I have made in de-cluttering my home. Still have a long way to go, but I just got tired of not enough space. Wether it’s being thrown out, or given away to the Goodwill, Amvets, and Salvation Army, one way or another the unneccessary clutter is leaving my home!

  19. I am most proud of the master bedroom. I chose a soothing darker shade of green and accented with red and gold; a comfy burgundy leather chair provides a cozy reading corner; and an antique trunk from hubby’s grandmother provides eye-catching storage. Her name is stamped in gold on the top and there’s a White Star Line sticker on it.

  20. My couch is my pride and joy right now. Best of all, I paid for it by using my reward points so it didn’t cost me anything!

Also, I think the hurricane is gorgeous! The colorful candle inside looks incredible through the glass.

  21. At the moment, it would have to be my king size padded headboard that my husband and I made. It took me awhile to figure out how to mount it on the wall, but I finally did and it looks great.

  22. I saw a room on Colorsplash that I just loved. The room was 3 shades or orange that blending up the wall. I was so proud of myself that I was able to do the same technique. I LOVE my orange room – Thanks David!!!

  23. The one thing I’m the most proud of in my home would have to be my antique wrought iron table and chair set with glass top. It was my grandmother’s. She painted it a beautiful dusty rose color that has only grown prettier as the years have gone by. It looks just perfect in my living room, which is done in an ocean theme with all of the items I’ve collected over the years on my trips to Nags Head.

  27. I’m a young interior designer. I don’t have a lot of money yet, but I love furniture and decorating. I love “garbage day” in my town because there are so many items that I could just “pick up” and “fix up” for free. My apartment is filled with people’s trash that I have restored into treasures. Thats what makes my place one of a kind!

  28. In my home, I am most proud of the tile floor in the kitchen and dining room. My husband and I put them in as the house was being built and it turned out great. Everyone has commented about it when they come in to our house. The floor is so durable and stands up to traffic beautifully.

  29. I don’t have a lot of money but to put together unique rooms. My living room is my fav, I love to change out the pillows and knick knacks and lighting to change the depth of the room. I have been told my living room is very homey and comfortable. One wall I have landscape photos in vibrant colors, so it’s easy to switch around the colots to make it all work. I love all the great ideas and look at Thrift shops for things trying to duplicate looks shown on HGTV.

  30. The one thing I am most proud of in my house is my Husband. He is a wonderful husband and good Dad. We can’t afford a house yet so he let’s me try to improve our rented apartment with non-permanent changes, including graciously helping me move the furniture around.

  31. My living room, which is comprised of a collage of my late mother, in January along with an Ocean seen since she loved the beach, with light houses. Along with a beach umbrella with her roses attached. I have a very small room, but it is cozy.

  32. In my bathroom,I have extra room along the head of my spa tub so I filled it with river rocks and candles. Now whenever I need to relax & unwind I light my candles & sip a glass of wine while in my bubble bath.
