Its Friday Freebies time!  This week we move indoors and the crew at Partylite came to us with another awesome set.  Check out their Coast Lights collection featuring the PartyLite Coastal Lights Hurricane.  This new twist on the nautical look will add a sophisticated flair to any home. Craftsmanship and style take center stage and define this one-of-a-kind, hand-blown glass hurricane.  Inside the Hurrican is Partylite’s Round Mottled Layered Pillar in Seaside Mist.  But that’s not all! Partylite has been just as excited as our blog readers over Friday Freebies they’re also providing one lucky winner with the Coast Lights Oyster Shell, Coastal Lights Nautilus Shell, and a dozen Calm Waters tealights to go with it all.

All you have to do is comment on this week’s question with a valid email address before Monday Night @ Midnight Eastern.  We’ll pick a random winner from all of our comments. Its that simple!

For this week, we want to know what’s the one thing in your house that you are the most proud of?  Got a killer couch or maybe you hand crafted your own pillows? Did you paint the kids rooms in one weekend? We want to know!

If you’re not already showing it off, go upload it to Rate My Space. Or if you’re still looking a really great piece of furniture check out Leslie’s post from yesterday with an early look at some of the new pieces coming from HGTV designer Angelo Surmelis.  If green is your thing, Kristine is always on the hunt for some inspiration.

Have a great weekend!

I am proud of the way we turned around our little house with very little money. We repurposed old armoires, we sanded and decoupaged dressers, painted stripes on bedroom walls, built headboards, stripped decades old wallpaper to paint. I think the place we are most proud of is the living room though. It had old eighties paneling on the fireplace wall. We tore it all out and discovered a fluted fireplace chimney with original plaster walls and moldings underneath. Thirty coats of stripped paint later – it came out just perfectly! Kudos to long suffering husbands!

My favorite thing about my house is the color we painted our guest room. It's the perfect shade of tan – goes with anything and so calming!

  3. The room in my house that I am most proud of is my dining room. It took me a week to remove existing wallpaper and prep the walls to repaper, but the results are wonderful. The new Tibeau paper is beautiful along with new chair rail, ceiling paint, and silk draperies! The long hours of hard work were worth the effort. I did it all myself and saved a bundle. My inspiration came from all the HGTV that I watch!

The one thing I am most proud of in my home is my beautiful cherry grandfather's clock my father made for me about 18 yrs ago. For the longest time it was the only piece of furniture in my living room. Now that my living room has furniture it is still a conversational piece and the first think I see when I enter my home.

The thing that I have in my house that I am the most proud of is my oversized wall clack that I have hanging in my family room. I purchesed it on a whim as it was a reduced item I found somewhere. I have had the most compliments on it & am so happy that I bought it.

The screened in porch is the best thing that we could have done for our house. Our house sits near the edge of our property, near some woods. It's wonderful to sit there in the evenings after work and enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the wildlife stroll by. I'm sure glad my husband let me talk him in to building it!!

I love the way my daughter painted her room.
She got the idea from watching your shows. She has painted it in stripes on one wall then on the others she splashed the walls.

Our kitchen. It took us a long time before we remodeled it! Now we have granite countertops, new cabinets, and even bar stools around the island. It's our (especially my kids) favorite place to hang out in the house!

I love my guest room…I love antiques, and I have a fabulous old 1800's mahogany bed that everyone falls in love with now…(carved pointed headboard with flowers with big old lion's feet on the footboard), and I put several old antique pieces in that room with the bed. No-one seemed to notice it in the old house, but a few years ago, I moved into a new house. The interior color of the walls was already painted with a neutral khaki color with a slightly gold twist. (This color enabled me to use several different colors throughout the house against the walls). (My son said none of my "stuff" would match the walls!). I used pale teal/aqua bedspread on the old mahogany bed, with aqua antique glass on the table bedside the bed…low and behold!!! It's beautiful, and what a transformation. Everyone that visits comments on that old bed now, and wants to know the color used in my house.

I love my awesome kitchen. I have wonderful state of the art appliances and great counter space and layout even though my house is very small.
