Its Friday Freebies time!  This week we move indoors and the crew at Partylite came to us with another awesome set.  Check out their Coast Lights collection featuring the PartyLite Coastal Lights Hurricane.  This new twist on the nautical look will add a sophisticated flair to any home. Craftsmanship and style take center stage and define this one-of-a-kind, hand-blown glass hurricane.  Inside the Hurrican is Partylite’s Round Mottled Layered Pillar in Seaside Mist.  But that’s not all! Partylite has been just as excited as our blog readers over Friday Freebies they’re also providing one lucky winner with the Coast Lights Oyster Shell, Coastal Lights Nautilus Shell, and a dozen Calm Waters tealights to go with it all.

All you have to do is comment on this week’s question with a valid email address before Monday Night @ Midnight Eastern.  We’ll pick a random winner from all of our comments. Its that simple!

For this week, we want to know what’s the one thing in your house that you are the most proud of?  Got a killer couch or maybe you hand crafted your own pillows? Did you paint the kids rooms in one weekend? We want to know!

If you’re not already showing it off, go upload it to Rate My Space. Or if you’re still looking a really great piece of furniture check out Leslie’s post from yesterday with an early look at some of the new pieces coming from HGTV designer Angelo Surmelis.  If green is your thing, Kristine is always on the hunt for some inspiration.

Have a great weekend!

In 1984 I bought a king size platform bed with rolled head board and food board covered in tan fabric it was beautiful. Ten years later I got it re-coverd and had pillows and a quilt cover made. It is heaven with an off white jaquard print fabric and the pillows and quilt cover are a brown and off white almost animal print feel to it. I love my bed.

Our sunporch had been hit by the terrible ice storm this winter. The ceiling leaked, the carpet was soaked and the sliding glass doors were warping. We had always wanted to make our enclosed area something more and now we were forced to. Since we love going to the beach, that became our theme. We now have french doors, white washed paneled walls and wood work that I white washed myself. A Slipcover is on our loveseat with cushions that match the parlor set chairs I recovered. Of course the material is also a beach theme. I was amazed at how easy the room came together. Now it feels like a real living space instead of an addition with now life. We love it.

My husband and I did a cool piece of "art" that is above our entertainment center. Took a white canvase and splattered paint on it. They cut out the shapes of what we wanted (sax, clarinet, music notes, our initials) on paper, put those on top of the dry paint and then spray painted the whole thing black. when we pealed up the paper those shapes were the cool colors.

I Just completed a small lounge/tv room with a beautiful chocolate brown accent wall with the other three walls a very light wheat color. On the brown walls I hung pictures with gold frames and on the wheat walls, I hung ptctures with brown frames. Everyone complements the look and I am proud of it.It is simply beautiful. I got the idea from one of the shows on HGTV. I just the love the different shows on that program. I find
    them very educational.

I have always wanted french doors and now I have them. They are so beautiful looking from my living room through the dining room into the pretty green kichen.

The one thing I am most proud of is a sofa table
I bought at a Church Garage sale, it is a thick glass
top with a brass bottom base with claw feet, I paid $20.00 for it,
I placed two small chairs for my grandsons who
love to read books and play with there cars on it.
They said Grandma this table is just for us, the perfect height
for two little boys. It brings lots of smiles and laughter.
That is why I love it.

I want to make my kitchen garden my inviting. I have hydrangeas, annuals, (even tomatoe plants this year!) in the garden but I don't like my walking stones. I'd like to learn how to MAKE flat stones like pavers and let herbs grow up inbetween. I'd also like a sitting area here! Welcome, come relax, have a glass of raspberry iced tea!

We painted our greatroom at our condo a dark brown. It was a huge jump for us because we have always been more partial to lighter shades. It's beautiful… we painted the molding white and I am still working on stencilling gigantic sea shells etc. that we plan to put an actual picture frame around to make it appear its a painting. We love it… the centerpiece would go wonderfully.

Hubby and I, in spite of him, losing 18 year job, have continued to find ways to work on house decorating while he is at home! From painting, putting up shelves, hanging pictures, and burning candles and still having people over, our home gives us so much comfort!

  10. I am really proud of my candlestick collection on my buffet. They are a collection of modern and old and made of glass or silver. The best thing about them is that they were a gift from someone special or a great find and each one holds a special meaning. They really make me happy!!
