The Washington Post held its “candy-colored take on pop culture,” aka the fourth annual Peeps diorama contest, and the results are pretty incredible. Whether inspired by the Olympics, presidential happenings or favorite books and movies, the creators of these dioramas use a lot of creativity and a few inventive techniques to make the most of their Peeps.
Michael Chirlin and Veronica Ettle won the contest this year with their "EEP" diorama based on the Pixar movie UP.
Finalists Amy Billingham, Lauren Emeritz, and Rob Black created the "The Mad Hatter's Peep Party" diorama inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Mark Rivetti's "Super Peepio Brothers" diorama features all our favorite Super Mario characters, including Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Koopa Troopas.
