The James Beard Foundation exists to “celebrate, preserve and nurture America’s culinary heritage and diversity in order to elevate the appreciation of our culinary excellence.” One way they do this is by honoring restaurants with superior interior design. This year’s nominees for Outstanding Restaurant Design are Brooklyn’s Choice Market designed by Evan Douglis Studio, Alabama’s PieLab by Project M and Manhattan’s The Wright (inside of the Guggenheim Museum) by Andre Kikoski Architect.
