May is National Bike Month, and next week (May 17-21) is Bike-to-Work Week – initiatives to encourage people to drive less and pedal more. It’s a good time to dust off my 2-wheeler and search for fabulous bicycle-inspired decor.

I’m in love with this ethereal art photograph by Tim Irving of cyclists on a Spanish landscape. An inexpensive way to add wow to a wall, even with the cost of a mat and frame.

This charming arrangement sold quickly on Etsy. Too bad, because now I want a bike filled with tulips on my front door.

Beautify your bike with a functional fabric DIY basket.

Make a quirky design statement and give an old bike new life as a crazy-cool side table.

Stick with the bicycle theme and add a couple of saddle seat stools.

Attract birds to your backyard with this eye-catching, orange birdhouse. Or display inside; the bicycle-chain perch is sure to be a conversation starter.

Add a touch of industrial style to your interiors with a clock made from a bicycle gear.

For bike aficionados with a baby on the way, check out this fun and easy wall decal.

Flowerpedal.com is devoted to bicycle-inspired decor. I particularly like this colorful rug. Who knew bicycle links could be so pretty?

Etsy seller nufangledwalldesigns makes mirrors and coat racks out of recycled inner tubes. A sleek look for the contemporary home.

My daughter and son-in-law are cyclists . The NYC Century ride was so crowded this year ! Seattle is their next cycling port-of-call . Me ? I like to use my two feet rather than wheels .

Hi Helen, kudos to your daughter and son-in-law! I can't imagine maneuvering a bike along the streets of Manhattan, but it would be awesome to have that kind of skill and fitness level.

Are you in New York? Walking there, I can do. With pleasure :-D
