One of our favorite companies is Viva Terra. Their gorgeous catalogs full of eco-friendly furniture, accessories and gifts get passed around like candy, as we ooh and ahh over their contents. This week, we’ve partnered with them to give you the chance to win one of five Temple Bell sets. You get one large and one small of these rustic, brass-plated bells. The bells are easy to hang and add a relaxing touch to your backyard. For a chance to win, answer this week’s question before 12/11c, Monday, May 24. I love outdoor living…the breeze on my cheek, the sun on my shoulders, the fresh air, windchimes, birds singing, barking dogs, horses calling to each other! I work outdoors (farm and marketing) and I am so blessed at having these things to enjoy on a daily basis
I love the barbecues and boat rides. The hammock is also one of my favorite things to enjoy when the weather lets us! I would love those bells to decorate my patio!
For me its all about the fresh air. I love the smell of freshly mown grass. And walking by honeysuckles or a gardenia bush can make me high.
I also love how everything changes. You never walk into the same garden twice; becuase new flowers bloom and trees grow. It is a wonderful performance that keeps you intrigued throughout the year.
My favorite part of spending time in my backyard is watching the fireflies flit around near the woods at night, lighting up the darkness, and watching the deer strut about, stretching their necks to reach the branches with the tastiest leaves. And spending time with family, taking it all in…
I love EVERYTHING about outdoors!! The breeze in the trees, the birds and animals, the sound of water, sunshine, moon and stars, just relaxing and connecting to my maker. What a beautiful world we have!!
Outdoor living is about extending our family time outside. It's great to relax on the patio & watch the kids play in the sandbox and our dogs 'hunt' for squirrels.
i love swinging on the patio lounge, reading a book and feeling the cool breeze
Having the pool full with guests and the excitement that goes with it, the grill filled with BBQ Ribs, side dishes to go with. Sunshine and blue skies, laughter and conversation. Seating arrangements will keep all together for the fun of the day……….
My favorite part of outdoor living is wandering through the garden and eating sun warmed raspberries right off the bush!
I live in a rural area. My favorite part of outdoor living is to relax on my patio in my lounge chair, fire burning in fire bowl with a glass of tea listening to the sounds of the world around me. Crickets chirping, frogs croaking, the cattle in the pasture behind our home makes me feel so peaceful.
I love being out in the yard in the evenings feeling the breeze and listening to all the tree frogs having a "song-fest"! It's very peaceful & relaxing.
I enjoy sitting outside on my patio drinking ice tea and listening to all the birds and watching the butterflies play among the flowers that my husband grows for me to enjoy! The butterflies enjoy the Heather bush the best.
My favorite part of outdoor living is after sunset. Sitting around a firepit and a clear sky with milliions of stars…………AMAZING!!!
Our time out in the yard is limited in this neck of the woods, so every day is cherished for the smell of cut grass, and its luscious green color against the azure blue sky. I especially enjoy watching all my perennials bloom in yellows, pinks, purples and vibrant yellows.
Time outside brings a smile to my face and to those around me. If I could be out there every day of the year, experiencing all the wonder, color and delightful aromas from my yard, life would be so much brighter!
Sitting in the backyard around the firepit , roasting marshmellows and drinking a nice cold beverage. Ahhhhh!!!
I used to have neighbors that had a hammock that swung over fresh mint planted below. Sooo heavenly.
I love watching the firefly show on a summer evening from our back patio.
Watching my children learn about the world around them is my joy. We grow vegetables, we look for caterpillar in our butterfly garden, we check the rain gauge, the thermometer and barometer, and we feed birds together. I love sharing the outdoors with my family. It doesn't get any better than that!
I love sitting outdoors and reading, with the sunshine on my toes and nice cold drink to cool me off! I have just the place for those temple bells, right on my apricot tree.
My favorite thing about ourtdoor living is the warmth of the air and listening to kids laugh and play in the pool.
I like entertaining good friends outside. Hosting a ladies luncheon al fresco is the best.
I enjoy filling the pool for my girls and sitting back dipping my toes in the cold water. The girls love to splash me and giggle the entire time. A nice warm, sunny day, cool water and giggling girls…how could it get any better?
My favorite part of outdoor living is the kids running around and laughing while I read and blow bubbles…
Love having the dirt under my nails from playing in my garden.
i love sitting out in the yard around the fire pit with my children ,and grand children, roasting marshmello's and makeing smores!! love spending time outside in the yard!
Outdoor living is all about the fresh air. Air is a symbol of spirit, and it wafts, well, just about everywhere, unencumbered. I like unencumbered! From my back deck, I can hear the wind soughing from a block away and it brings power into my face, my lungs and my soul.
I like to sit on the back deck and watch my kids rough it up with our little dogs. I like it when the grass has just been cut and I can also smell the burgers on the grill. Of course if I have a nice glass of red wine in hand, it makes this scene even better.
My favorite part of outdoor living is watching the small wildlife that comes into my garden, especially the little lizards. It's especially amusing to see the males puff up at me when I putz around in my garden, getting territorial over whatever plant they happen to be on.
Outdoor living in Arkansas is a bit different than in other parts of the country. By summer we have mosquitoes , flies and lots of heat. So Spring and Fall are favorites of mine. In the Spring we have beautiful flowers everywhere and everything is green and new and smells so good. You can enjoy birds of all kinds, babies of many varieties and start a garden to harvest by July. The wonder of our earth is more apparent then than any other time. The part of the state I am in is a farming area and there is little or no smog so the stars are very bright and clear at night. It's easy to drift off into a dream world where there is no suffering and pain, wars or politics. Only the sound of crickets and frogs to put you to sleep (and an occasional coyote howling). Fall is beautiful too with the many trees and foliage to be found here. The weather is perfect for fishing or boating, rock hunting or most any outdoor pleasure you could want. Why would anyone want to stay inside when they can enjoy mother nature at it's best.
But on the hot summer days-it's off to a lake for a cool dip, the river for skiing or maybe enjoying a cool cave somewhere.
The feel of the breeze, the warmth of the sun, the smell of the grass, and all that green!!!
My favorite part of outdoor living are the mottled patterns of sunlight through the trees that appear on the ground.
I love to sit on the deck when there is a mild breeze, and revel in the pleasure of the wind against my skin. I'll have breakfast out there, read a book, sip coffee. Any time there is a light breeze, I am bee-lining for the deck!
My favourite part of outdoor living is the feeling of the sun on my skin.
oooh, lovely. We just bought a house with a nice screened-in porch off the back. We're loving having our meals outdoors, with a lovely spring breeze and a view of the birds in our backyard.
