French door coverings that don't look like they belong in my grandmother's house! No lace, ruffly, akward, swinging-out-from-the-door-and-gonna'-hit-you-in-the-leg-when-you-open-it clumsy rod contraptions. I would like the option of black out, and the ability to roll them up (or something) to view what's behind the door. I have two stell french doors and don't want the coverings to be bulky or pretrude from a large box-like contraption surrounding my window. The coverings should blend nicely with the rest of the interior decorations and style.

Curtains are the item that alludes me the most. I'm never happy with what I find and I end up just settling for something . . . always hoping that I'll stumble across a better option. I've been searching for the right pattern for my son's room for years with no viable options to speak of.

It was designed to hold a lot of pictures!!! I need some thing of this nature to make photos neat and accessable!!! I have 40 yrs. of pictures!

I truly have been looking for the perfect fabric for these two little round backed swivel chairs I picked up at the thrift store for $15 a piece. They are just waiting for the perfect upholstery!

I have 3 bay windows. One is full 9 ft. height, the other 2 have a lighted sofit overhead but are still ceiling to nearly floor in height. I can't seem to find the proper window dressing, Ugh! It seems to be a very expensive window to make look great. I've keep them undressed. What to do?

The perfect side table that sits high enough to set a cup on next to my high sofa that is functional yet beautiful. It has to be the right shape and the perfect wood tone or a great paint color for my earthy living room. The problem is that I could design the perfect table but I am not sure I would be able to build it.

The perfect decor for a 20 ft. brick hearth, ugh!!!

  18. Kenneth says:

We trying to design three tall boards to go in the hallway above the stairs. They are meant to add color to the hallway which gets plenty of light from the 18' tall window across the way They are also suppose to have foam inside of some sort so that we can use it for kids artwork to be tacked to it along with photos. Lastly it's also meant to dampen sound coming from downstairs so when the kids are sleeping upstairs, we don't have as much echo bouncing off the giant glass window and then down the hall to their bedrooms. We were thinking three panels that are about 8' tall (10' coved ceilings) and 2.5' wide.

I love vintage table clothes from the 40's. I wish I could find one with the cool 40's fabric that would fit my kitchen table. The tabe is 10ft long and it seems that these fabulous table clothes that were made in the 40's do not come in sizes that big.

I've been searching for the perfect fabric for kitchen curtains – not too cute, colors that will blend with my kitchen dishes (oranges, blues and browns), something fun!

  22. KonaSand says:

I have been looking for 20 years now and have not found one since. My grandmother -in- law had a set of Queen Ann Highback Wing Chairs and Ottomans as a matching 4 piece set. The seat was perfect for me as I am short seated. I have found similar single chairs but no matching ottomans but they are either too long in the seat or too short and the fabric choices were…..well let's just say NOT my style or color choice. Fabrics were too heavy in print or color or pattern, too one colored, or too garish. But I have not given up!! Still looking!! Although I loved the material and pattern she had!!!!!

I would like to know how to create an Old West style bedroom for my husband. He loves Roy Rogers movies. We met his son Dusty at Roy Rogers museum in California some years ago. So what kind of material should I use for upholstery, curtains, bedspreads, and wall to wall rug. As my husband is handicapped and disabled and has some trouble walking, it is best to have a wall to wall rug fastened down so he does not trip and fall. Thanks for your help.
    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Compton

A comforter that doesn't show the hair from the orange cat OR the black cat. And is cat-barf-resistent.

I have never had a sofa that had all the qualities I am looking for. If I did, it would cost way to much. I would love a soft leather sofa that is both comfortable and not too bulky looking. One that has legs so you can clean under it easily. I want it to be all leather and have good dense cushions and hardwood frame. If I found this sofa it would be the last one I would ever need! The finishing touch would be just the right fabric and design for pillows.

  27. marcat says:

I received a little fabric gift bag in a blue and brown brocade, Chinese-inspired fabric. I contacted the retailer who sold the bags and they had no idea of the origin of the fabric. Since then I have unsuccessfully searched web sites and asked at large fabric retailers. I would love to find that fabric.

I am looking for 4 to 5 witches balls in teal or purple or a combination of those colors. Its so hard to find them in my area of the midwest. So whenever I go east or west I look for them. I have looked on line but nothing I find is what I am looking for

I would love to find a 4 piece place setting of Rose colored Fiestaware and flatware NIB and not seconds. I started collecting pastel Fiestaware when I was a starving college student and never seemed to have the money when I did see the Rose place settings. Now it's discontinued. I have the Periwinkle and Turquoise, but the Rose has eluded me for almost 20 years.

I've been looking for more bedside sconces to match the ones I bought at Fred Meyer two years ago. The bonus is they are 'touch' on, three-way lights, not an on/off switch. They are great to free up the night stand and you don't have to aim and reach when you are too tired. I would put them in my spare bedrooms.

A dining room table and chairs. Many years ago I found a Danish Modern hutch and sideboard at a thrift store for $75 and snapped it right up. I have looked high and low and rarely do I find a set that is bigger than a kitchenette and when I do they are soooo expensive. I am determined to one day find a vintage set to go with my other vintage piece.

The perfect sewing table, or plans for a sewing table that somehow has storage, and maybe a drop leaf so it expands and would be great if it was on the back side of a murphy bed so I can sew and have a place for my kids to sleep when they come home to visit… I know it is a lot to ask for…..
