Being the brand manager for HGTV.com is kind of like being a magazine editor. I approve all of the site content, paying particular attention to the features we create each month. I love my job because it feeds my need for design candy — and because sometimes we come up with a feature that just makes me go “YAY!” like this one: Small Spaces Design Guide

There’s so much good stuff here, I hardly know where to start. Got an apartment or condo — or just a really small living room? Throw those old decorating rules out the window with these 5 small-space rules to break.

As someone whose closet needs serious help (OMG, don’t get me STARTED), I adore these 8 Closet Revamps from Rebecca at loving. living. small.

Probably my favorite piece though, since I have a weakness for smartly designed bedrooms, is Layla’s photo gallery called 8 Tiny Yet Beautiful Bedrooms. Shout-out to Layla’s blog, The Lettered Cottage.

Go browse. I can’t wait to hear what you think — and be sure to link me up to your favorite small-space pictures, blogs or tips. I’m always looking for inspiration.

I Have a small bedroom that has a old fashion radiator in the room which is an eye sore. What ideas do you have that I can add some life to my room by covering the radiator. Also I'm working with a small budget.

There are lots of DIY projects to cover old rads and make them a useable seat or shelf. Also very easy to customize to your personal style.

Shelving in small spaces! I have seen the most amazing interior design for a small space! The plaster walls were removed and replaced with plaster in between the joist and framing . This made way for some timber lines placed vertical and horizontal. Presto we are a room lined with book shelves. The plaster was painted navy blue, as was the ceiling and furnishings were kept to just one large day bed covered in calico. The room was 10 x 8 in size with one floor to ceiling window. The entire look was superb!
