I adore my big oversized hanging basket chair! I put my feet on the patio ledge and swing to release my inner child, yet it also feels like a cocoon when I just want to snuggle into myself. We just completed building our house and are now working on our outdoor space. My chair is my contemplation spot for all of it.
My antique windchime from my Great Grandma
The best way to spend an late summer afternoon, or early in the day to beat the heat, is to go hammocking. Have a pillow, a few book selections, pecan tree shading overhead, and just me and the backyard critters. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh…..doesn't get more zen than that.
my favorite is an adirondack love seat thats been painted white and has lots of pillows!!
an Adirondack chair on the deck at the lake cabin. so relaxing!
I love the two old adirondack chairs that were in my grandmother's back yard for years. Still solid as a rock and weigh a ton after countless coats of paint!

My adirondack chair is my favorite piece of outdoor furniture. When it isn't too hot out, I love to sit on my porch in the chair with a good book.
I love sitting on my front porch swing, eating a mini drumstick while hiding from the kids!
I have a cherished weathered concrete bench that is in the shape of a bunny. My son gave this to me for mother's day several years ago. I have it in the back yard between two 50 year old crepe myrtle trees. I love to sit there and relax all year 'round.
My favorite outdoor decor is my wind chime collection. I rebuild the ones that have weathered apart using driftwood or tree branches.
I love my bowling ball yard art . It looks more like gazing globes on beautiful pedestals than BBs .
My swing in the shade where I can take a relaxing nap in the late afternoon.
The hammock chair that I bought in a market in Nicaragua then lugged around the South American continent for three months on a semester abroad. Worth it!
My favorite outdoor item was my bamboo wind chimes. I live on the east coast and unfortunately they got blown away in a nor'easter a while back, so I would love to have these capiz shell chimes.
