Last summer, I had the opportunity to visit Wimbledon, a quaint suburb in Southwest London. The quietness dissolves for two weeks when June rolls around and the small town becomes the central place for international tennis champions to reunite. The championship glues me to my sofa, but it also inspires me to seek out Wimbledon-inspired decor.

I love the idea of recycling tennis rackets into something practical for everyday use.

Crisp, all-white bedding mirrors the white-on-white costumes we typically see on the tennis courts. Many players have introduced colors into their match wardrobes, but traditional white still dominates. Who can argue with tradition?

Green and pink are the ultimate preppy duo. The tennis court green on the walls and the Lilly Pulitzer bedding set a bold color statement for this entire room.

In this collection of tennis-inspired decor my favorite is the cottage headboard (top, right). It’s perfect for any lover of shabby chic decor, but what I like most is its vintage representation of the tennis net.
The coordinating shades of green on this outdoor tablescape immediately remind me of green grass tennis courts and the fluorescent yellow tennis balls.
