If you’re fighting lack of space, try narrow display shelves up the wall. They make the room appear larger and can be used to showcase a few of your favorite things. Design by Christopher Grubb.

Choose a strong ornate piece as the focal point of the room and decorate around it. Simple brown furniture and sheer white curtains make the black crystal chandelier the center of attention. Design by Judith Balis.

There’s nothing wrong with simplicity. Especially in smaller rooms, simple decor can make a bold statement. Crisp white chairs stand out against the dark wood dining table while modern light fixtures brighten the room. Design by Ammie Kim.
