The Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and Pier 39 are just a few of the classic reasons why I love San Francisco. Now, I have a new reason – the delicious design blog SF Girl by Bay.

SF Girl by Bay is the one of the West coast’s leading design blogs and was recently included in The London Times Top 50 Design Blogs. Since 2006, Victoria Smith, the blog’s creator, author and editor, has brought modern bohemian style to the blog world. If you love unique and rustic decor, her daily posts will have you addicted from the start. From food (check out the Friday Food Files) and travel to artwork and DIY projects, no category is off limits to Victoria.

The posts I look forward to the most (and the ones that leave me craving fresh design in my own place) are her inspiration posts. Fab Friday displays her fun and trendy finds to wrap up the week, while her I Spy posts feature a plethora of pictures on a quirky topic, like California oranges, clotheslines and pistachio ice cream. If you love scrolling through an endless amount of gorgeous, take-your-breath-away pictures, then her posts will definitely become your daily, morning-coffee read.

I like to get away from my work-in-progress apartment and step into the fabulous, vintage, shabby chic homes of people in the blogosphere. Victoria features Home Tours of people from all over the world. Be sure to check out Ingrid Jansen’s home in the Netherlands. Victoria packs in dozens of questions and photos in each home tour post, uncovering the inspiration, design nightmares and wish lists of our favorite bloggers and artists.

I’m glad I’m not the only one with a mile-long wish list. Every week Victoria puts together a list of lovely items and pictures for her weekly post Wanted. I never realized how much stuff I long for until I was perusing her wish lists and came across this little beauty – a collage cushion bench that I’m determined will someday end up in my home. What I love most about her lists is the unexpectedness of each item. I never thought an old, distressed step ladder would catch my attention.

What items are you dying to bring into your home – a wallpapered armoire or an antique-inspired halo chandelier, maybe? Let us know what’s on your wish list!
