Probably, what comes to my mind the most is the smells of clean soap….my mother, GOD LOVE HER, would get on her hands and knees to scrub our tile floors…..only to have us 4 kids run through the house and dirty it up again. She is gone now and what I would give to have her sitting on the couch watching me clean the floors for her.
Home had different smell for different days, Thanksgiving and Christmas was the smell of Roasted Turkey and homemade rolls. Memorial Day and Independence Day was barbecued pork steaks. Food smelled like food, not the spices we use today to make the food taste good.
