Remember that first feeling of building a structure? Maybe it was a tent constructed from a old sheet or a leftover box from a large purchase. Maybe it was a fort made of stacks of pine straw. There was just something about that small, intimate space that felt comforting. For me camping is a great way to recreate that first feeling of enclosed, personal space. And after looking at my calendar, it’s clear this is the last pre-holiday, fall camping weekend.

If you’re going to be stuck indoors because of foul weather or preparations for next week’s feast, maybe a living room sanctuary will makeup for it. But if blue skies are in your forecast, call the US Forest Service’s Fall Foliage Hotline at 800-354-4595, and go enjoy autumn’s splendor.

No matter if your style is futuristic, rustic, traditional or eclectic, there are plenty of options for camping in style. Just be sure to seize the day, before all the leaves have fallen.
