Your Christmas tree is decorated with fabulous trimmings, right? So, it’s time to add holiday cheer to the rest of your home. Have you made that annual trek to the attic or basement, yet? All of my year-round decorations are on a month-long vacation in the storage closet, while glittery (and messy) decor has taken their place in preparation for Santa’s big arrival. Whether you enjoy subtle hints of the holidays or create a replica of the North Pole in your living room, here’s just the inspiration you need to add that festive feeling to your home both inside and out.

I love that first one with the oranges on the stairs!
So much good inspiration, thanks for the ideas! http://www.cleansmartsimple.blogspot.com
Love the framed deer decoration…..love to have one!
Beautiful and crisp. Some old traditional looks are taken and made more modern…love it.
I love all of these ideas. Thank you for sharing them. Beauty is all around us.
design is mine is sooooo beautiful, thanks for all the good ideas.
I love the chalkboard with "Baby, It's Cold Outside"~~~~
I think that it would be more faboulous and not so dated to use more colors….Staying with one color in a theme is outdated. Do something new like with the RED Reefed Fire place….add a touch of silver and gold or gold, purple and red, with green accents…so on…just an idea
WALL ART which looks great ~ "PARCELS ON THE WALL" ~ A great way to decorate your walls; especially in the room where you have your Christmas tree and sit to enjoy socializing and opening prezzies; but any room will also work…. take any large or small photo's off the wall, cover them in nice Christmas wrap and then tie with ribbon and end with a bow in the middle (like make ribbon and bow proportioned to photo); then re-hang on wall; and you'll enjoy wall art !!
then recycle ribbon and bows for another year.
So festive & beautiful…u inspire me!
Heading to Michaels right now….out the door I go and thank you for the inspiration to get off my couch on this ugly, rainy Sunday morning!
loved the "baby it's cold outside" and the first one with the oranges, especially…but they were all great and some so simple to duplicate…thank u!!!
Inspired and talented people are what inspire me. Thank you all, I love all the great ideas.
hey i know its not about christmas but i think hgtv should host a kids design show for the summer where kids actually get to design the rooms
i think it would be great for kids like me who draw rooms for fun to actually hve the chance to show their inner design star;)
Beautiful front door with wreath and garland drape along with lit green tree and gift packages. Just classy!
I just love all the ideas HGTV gives me for decorating my home. I have learned so much this year. Thanks a lot HGTV.
HGTV is definite one of my favorite shows. It offers great ideas, and inspires me to create and challange many wonderful projects. Thanks for what you do!
The oranges and lemons in the first picture will have a delicious scent. An old fashioned way is to push cloves into oranges or Clementines, attach pretty ribbons with pins and hang from a ceiling fixture or doorway or just arrange in a glass bowl. Smells like Christmas!
