This looks bizarre, for lack of a better word for how horrid it is.
They surely had no professional help for design advice,
they must have came up with this add-on plan themselves.
Perhaps they could add some stone & barn beam work around
it somehow to soften up the lines and blend it into the original structure?
It definitely needs H-E-L-P!!!
